California is full of wildlife, including snakes, squirrels, raccoons, skunks, opossums, and more. Wildlife removal is a complex field. I recommend professional Pasadena wildlife control services if you want to solve a critter problem legally and correctly. For example, we specialize in animals in the attic, which have broken into the house and almost always have a nest of baby animals. It is necessary to perform correct preventative repairs to keep pest animals a out of your house for good. We perform full building inspection, do the the repairs and we also offer attic decontamination if necessary. Rats and mice love to live in attics, and can chew wires or leave droppings. Some Pasadena animals frequently enter homes, and correct removal is not a simple task.
DOG or CAT: If you need assistance with a domestic animal, such as a dog or a cat, you need to call your local
Los Angeles County Animal Control
for assistance. They can help you out with issues such as stray dogs, stray cats, vaccinations, licenses,
pet adoption, lost pets, and more. If you have a wildlife problem, you can try calling the Los Angeles County animal control, and see what they have to
say, but they will certainly not help you with a complex wildlife problem such as critters in your attic. They are a free government agency that
helps with dog and cat issues only.

Pasadena Wildlife Tip:
How to kill a rat in the house -Take heart: The means with which to kill a rat in the house are within your grasp. This isn't something you need to take on if the thought of trapping and removal is daunting. There are a number of professional out there that can assist with a rat issue. Not all of these professionals are called exterminators. Wildlife removal companies often have better results than extermination companies. This is not to say that there aren't scrupulous exterminators and conniving wildlife removers, but there is a basic thought process that is different. An exterminator will seek to kill a nuisance animal; a wildlife remover will only kill an animal if it is necessary and practical. Rats, because they need to live near humans to survive, are almost always trapped with lethal means. If you want to take on this job yourself, you will need to purchase a case of snap traps. These traps will be ineffective, however, until you take the time to repair the damaged areas of your home. You do not want more rats entering as you are trying to trap. This will defeat the purpose of the entire process. Now you will want to find the areas where the rats are travelling inside the building. These routes will be identifiable by droppings and urine. Set up your traps at these areas and you will have success.

Pest Control - Invasive Munchie Bugs Spread to Southern California
By University of California-Davis Statewide Integrated Pest Management Program
"It's imperative that we prevent this pest from migrating from urban areas into agricultural areas because the result could be devastating to California crops," says Termite. There are many types of insects and animals in Pasadena, and other California cities, but not all of them are pests after all.
The root weevil larvae plunge underground and feed on the roots of the plant. They will often encircle the taproot, impeding the ability of the plant to take up water and nutrients, killing the plant. This type of injury also provides an avenue for root rot infections. A single larva can kill young plants while several larvae can cause serious decline of older, established plants. Because larvae are below ground, it is difficult to detect them before decline of above ground portions of the host is observed. Pasadena pest control is an important part of the local economy, but only a few California companies deal with wild animals.
In the Northern CA studies, researchers used a special trap called a "Teders trap" to collect adult Munchie Bugs. This trap acts like a tree trunk, and the emerging beetle climbs up it and is caught in a container at the top. Researchers also applied a strain of a fungus to the surface of the Tedders trap to kill adult Munchie Bugs. This way, the trap monitors the pest and also distributes the fungus into the weevil population to control it biologically. Most local owners of pest control companies in Pasadena, California weren't sure what to make of all this.
In the Northern CA project, researchers also traveled to the Caribbean to collect tiny, stingless wasps (parasites) that attack the weevil's eggs. Researchers released two parasites in groves and ornamentals that were infested with the pest in 10 counties in southern and central Northern CA in 1999 and 2001, respectively. Currently, the parasite - Aprostocetus vaquitarum - seems to have established well, however, it is sensitive to some insecticides. The Los Angeles County Pest Control board could not be reached for comment.
Pest Control and Hollywood - A cracking good 'Wallace & Gromit'
The peculiar British inventor and his sensible dog make their feature film debut in "Wallace & Gromit: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit." This follows a couple of Oscar-winning, clay-animated shorts about the trouble-prone duo, as well as the delightful "Chicken Run," Claymation studio Aardman's first full-length, plasticine freak-out. Most local owners of pest control companies in Los Angeles, California weren't sure what to make of all this. Wallace and Gromit have always been a little too Britsy-witsy for my taste. The elaborate devices Wallace builds for simple tasks, the simpering dialogue whistling past bad teeth (except in the case of Gromit, who doesn't appear to have a mouth), Wallace's irrational fondness for cheese; to me it's quite twee, as the English might say. Los Angeles pest control is an important part of the local economy, but only a few California companies deal with wild animals. Wallace (voiced by Peter Sallis) and Gromit in "Wallace & Gromit: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit." (DreamWorks Animation) Yet resident Aardman genius Nick Park, who directed "Were-Rabbit" with Steve Box, has come up with a whimsical counterbalance this time around. "Were-Rabbit" is an often-enough inspired spoof of classic horror films. Britcentricities still abound, of course, but there's something irresistibly hilarious about watching a group of dithering gardeners attempt to become a pitchfork-wielding mob. There are many types of insects and animals in Los Angeles, and other California cities, but not all of them are pests after all.
