Florida is full of wildlife, including snakes, squirrels, raccoons, skunks, opossums, and more. Wildlife removal is a complex field. I recommend professional Amelia Island wildlife control services if you want to solve a critter problem legally and correctly. For example, we specialize in animals in the attic, which have broken into the house and almost always have a nest of baby animals. It is necessary to perform correct preventative repairs to keep pest animals a out of your house for good. We perform full building inspection, do the the repairs and we also offer attic decontamination if necessary. Rats and mice love to live in attics, and can chew wires or leave droppings. Some Amelia Island animals frequently enter homes, and correct removal is not a simple task.

Amelia Island Wildlife Tip:
The Coral Snake: Appearance, Biology, Life Cycle, Habitat, Diet, Behavior
Appearance
The coral snakes are recognized from their slender appearance. They usually have three color variations ranging between orange, yellow and brownish. You may also find red blotches with a black edge on the middle portion of their back. Some people also confuse these snakes with checkerboard snakes due to the presence of alternative white and black lines on their belly. Usually, the appearance of these snakes depends upon the area where they live and on their age as well. Experts reveal that the young coral snakes do not have brighter coloration that is generally common in adults.
Behavior and habitat
The coral snakes do not fall under the category of nocturnal creatures as they stay active in the day hours. These snakes are skilled climbers, so they can be often found on tree branches where they keep on targeting preys. Earlier they used to live in the forest areas or wooded regions, but from past few years they have shifted to urban areas and now prefer to target abandoned buildings to find some shelter and food. These creatures are also known for their secretive behavior, and hence they also prefer to live underground. However, they do not create their own burrows below ground rather eat up the rodents living there and then occupy their empty burrows. They can also hide under rocks, logs, debris, and piles. That is why most homeowners in the United States feel worried about their presence in the garden and yard area. They can be easily found in the woodlots, abandoned buildings, barns, Meadowlands, wooded grooves and rocky hillsides.
Diet
The surprising fact about coral snakes is that they do not need food every day. So they do not find it difficult to survive even in scarcity. In general, the young coral snakes prefer to eat lizards and frogs whereas the larger ones are more interested in attacking bird, bats, mice, and rats. These snakes are also known as constrictors. Whenever a coral snake finds prey, it first bites that creature to make it unconscious to move and then grip is hard by putting two- three coils around it. This tight squeezing action makes it difficult for the prey to breath and then the snake consume it as a whole. They prefer to swallow the head of the prey first. Experts say that these constrictors are even able to swallow prey alive.
Reproduction
The male, as well as female coral snakes, prefer to mate several times in one breeding season. The female even tries to eat more food so that it can store more fat in its body. As soon as the mating season ends, the female snake gets pregnant with eggs, and then it shed for some time without consuming any food. The female snake mostly gives birth to around 10 to 30 snakes at once. The coral snakes are able to live for almost 18 years when raised in captivity, but some experts also say that they can live up to 22 years with ease.
