Florida is full of wildlife, including snakes, squirrels, raccoons, skunks, opossums, and more. Wildlife removal is a complex field. I recommend professional Delray Beach wildlife control services if you want to solve a critter problem legally and correctly. For example, we specialize in animals in the attic, which have broken into the house and almost always have a nest of baby animals. It is necessary to perform correct preventative repairs to keep pest animals a out of your house for good. We perform full building inspection, do the the repairs and we also offer attic decontamination if necessary. Rats and mice love to live in attics, and can chew wires or leave droppings. Some Delray Beach animals frequently enter homes, and correct removal is not a simple task.

They can help you out with issues such as stray dogs, stray cats, vaccinations, licenses, pet adoption, lost pets, and more. If you have a wildlife problem, you can try calling the Palm Beach County animal control, and see what they have to say, but they will certainly not help you with a complex wildlife problem such as critters in your attic. Delray Beach Wildlife Tip:
What to do if you have a dead animal in the chimney

One of the most troublesome things that a homeowner can have happen is when an animal has made its home within the chimney of their house. This can actually happen quite frequently, especially in the summertime when birds, squirrels, raccoons, bats, and other critters set up their house within the chimney area, because people are simply not using them. There was very little need for a person to light a fire in the summer, so these animals are able to take advantage of this relative solitude and peace.

In some instances, the animal will die in the chimney area for some reason, leaving you with a dead carcass to contend with. Your question then becomes what to do if you have a dead animal in the chimney?

Clearly, you can't just leave this animal there. Even if you don't intend to use your chimney anytime soon, the last thing that you want is for a rotting decaying animal to be decomposing in the chimney of your house. It won't be very long before large numbers of insects and maggots are coming down through the flume and into your fireplace, creating an enormous insect infestation as well as an incredible health risk family. So, what do you do?

The most common decision that most people would make would be to simply open the flume and allow the dead carcass to fall into their fireplace. They would then clean up the carcass and remove it. This seems like a logical idea, but is actually quite dangerous. By using this option you were inviting insects, fungus, bacteria, viruses, and parasites to get into your home which can be incredibly dangerous. This should never be your option.

What you need to do is go to your roof and get a tool that allows you to reach down into the fireplace and literally scoop the dead animal out. There are several different kinds of devices that act very much like a shovel, allowing you to scoop up and bring the dead carcass to the top of your home where you can dispose of it.

Before doing so, it is important that you protect yourself. This means that you need to wear gloves, goggles, a surgical mask, and clothing that covers all of your exposed skin. This ensures that the parasites and pathogens are not able to get onto your body as you're pulling the animal out.

Once you have removed the animal from the chimney and you are sure that you have all of the remains, then it is a good idea to light a fire in your fireplace. Only open the flume slightly at first. The reason you want to have the fire is to burn up any parasites or bacteria that may be in the fireplace area. This is a great sterilization technique that can protect the health of your family, and is part of the reason why you only open the flume slightly at first.
