Michigan is full of wildlife, including snakes, squirrels, raccoons, skunks, opossums, and more. Wildlife removal is a complex field. I recommend professional Gratiot County wildlife control services if you want to solve a critter problem legally and correctly. For example, we specialize in animals in the attic, which have broken into the house and almost always have a nest of baby animals. It is necessary to perform correct preventative repairs to keep pest animals a out of your house for good. We perform full building inspection, do the the repairs and we also offer attic decontamination if necessary. Rats and mice love to live in attics, and can chew wires or leave droppings. Some Gratiot County animals frequently enter homes, and correct removal is not a simple task.

Gratiot County Wildlife Tip:
Where to release raccoon - It's usually not legal for a homeowner to relocate a racoon. Even when you are allowed to catch the animal without a license, you are almost never allowed to transport it off your property and release it. Unfortunately, homeowners are often required to kill captured raccoons on their property. If you are not being watched by the all-seeing eyes of the law, you can attempt to relocate the raccoon. Make sure you cover the cage with a tarp or a blanket. This will keep the animal calm while you drive to the new location. The last thing you want is to open the cage of a frantic raccoon. You should also keep in mind, when trapping a raccoon that is in your attic or crawlspace, that most of these animals are female. The reason why the racoon is in your home is because she is looking for a safe place to give birth to her litter. In the wild, males will actively seek out babies not their own and kill them. This sends the adult female back into heat and allows the male to breed with her. If you're going to trap and relocate the adult in your home, don't forget to look for babies.
