Customer Armadillo Email: Hi David, Saw your website. I live in NW Arkansas. Have an armadillo that has been wrecking my flowerbeds as well as those of my neighbors for weeks. I have a Havahart raccoon sized trap. He digs around it. Cannot seem to get him into it. Read lots of info on websites. None of it seems to work. Placed the trap in his path. Nothing. Added "bait" - a sock full of earth and worms. Nothing. Tried mothballs. Nothing. Except now it looks like I added ice cubes in my beds. Tried to catch him by hand. Haha. He only comes out late, has better night vision than I do, and is adept at getting back into the woods behind our house before I can grab him. How do you get them into the traps? Any info is appreciated. Bill
My Answer: Armadillo trapping is an art, like all wildlife trapping. It takes legitimate experience to do it right! Your best bet, in your case, might be to hire a professional trapper in your area.

The Nine-Banded Armadillo is definitely an unusual creature. They are not native to anywhere in the United States. They were introduced from Central and South America. This nocturnal creature actually sleeps about 20 hours per day, inside a large
burrow that it dug. It has several such burrows, and if you're concerned about dillos on your property, there's a good chance you've already noticed a big armadillo hole dug out near your house. This animal emerges at night and forages for insects,
primarily underground earthworms and grubs. They can dig up a lot of dirt in one night, and you may have noticed your nice yard or landscaping dug full of small holes. There are many interesting facts regarding this mammal,
