I commonly extract dead animal carcasses from homes and property. The very animals that commonly invade houses die inside houses, and when they do, they create a very unpleasant odor as the carcass decays.
The successful removal of deceased wildlife definitely requires experience and knowledge of building architecture and animal behavior. I've cut and pried open every nook and cranny imaginable to locate and remove

Dead Opossum, Trailer Home – Some Variety Please! Talking about things that annoy me, well here is another winner. This is a combination of things that makes me want to call in a sick day. Anytime I get a call requiring my services to remove a dead animal from under a trailer home, I just know it is going to be a snooze fest of a job. Don’t get me wrong. I love my job and I would never want to swap what I do with anything else. But there are several aspects of my job that I do not like and one of them is how predictable it can be sometimes.
I am not sure if it is a coincidence or something that I have experienced but every time I have been called to remove a dead animal from under a trailer, it always turns out to be an opossum. Even in this case when I got the call, I knew immediately that the animal I will be looking for is an opossum. And I was dead right. There goes another monotonous aspect of a trailer home job.
And if that is not enough, I have never come across a dead opossum under a trailer home that found an easy place to die. No sir, they will go on and find the most complicated place to wait for the end of time – the vapor barrier. Now, I have been to some of the grossest places imaginable to remove dead animals but when you are under a trailer, surrounded by spiders and the constant fear of some other unwelcome animal species.
The result was that I ended up spending hours trying to remove the little vermin from the vapor barrier as always. The picture above may scare some of you. That is how a dead opossum half eaten by maggots looks like (yes, I know. Yuck!).
