While you may really like having birds around, you may find that over time they pose a serious risk to the health and beauty of you, your family, your pets, and your property. Large numbers of birds can lead to large amounts of waste, which can destroy the look of your home. If you have ever tried to clean up bird poop, you are well aware that it is not the easiest thing to get out. A lot of times you have to use special cleaners to be able to get it to go away, and that can be expensive.

In addition, the waste often contains parasites and pathogens that can be harmful to you and your family. Simply by coming in contact with this waste or by breathing in it once it dries, you can find that a pathogen can get into your body and create a severe illness for you. This can be true of your pets as well.

If that isn't enough reason to be concerned there is also the fact that a large number of birds can be quite noisy and disruptive on your property. They can chew and eat up fruits and vegetables you are growing, and simply make a lot of noise that can disrupt your peace and tranquility. You want to do all you can to try to keep them from coming to your property.

One of the options that a lot of people like to employ is the use of a bird net. By installing a bird net you are able to create an exclusionary obstacle that will help to keep these animals from coming around your house. Many even install these kinds of nets trees that carry such things as cherries or apples, to keep the birds from flying over and picking away at their fruit.

The best part about this option is that it can be quite successful. You can have a great deal of success at keeping birds away by using a bird net, but you must make sure that you install it so that you have the greatest chance of keeping them away. This ensures that there are no gaps or openings, that there aren't wrinkles or excessive sag in any area so that the birds can't find a place to be able to get into the net and onto your roof, trees, or other location where you are trying to keep them out.

While you may be concerned that installing your bird net may not work for you, keep in mind that there will be detailed instructions on the box that will assist you in putting the net up without having to worry about making mistakes. If you follow these directions carefully and take your time in doing so you will have created a great deterrent to keep birds away from your house and away from important structures such as trees or your garden. You may love birds, but you also want to be able to enjoy your home, and when peace is disturbed this may be the best option for you.

Bird Net Installation

Bird net installation is a popular method of bird removal and prevention, but it only works when the netting itself is installed correctly. It can stop birds from landing on large, flat surfaces, as well as preventing them from being allowed to roost. It's a clever and versatile method of protecting those surfaces and areas, with something that isn't entirely unpleasant to look at, and actually does the job rather well. Bird net installation is also something that can be done quite cost effectively. Buying rolls of netting is most definitely going to work out cheaper than many of the other bird prevention and removal items you can buy, and definitely those that require mains or battery operation.

The process of bird net installation is very simple, but you will need to ensure that it is done correctly for it to be as effective as it should be. If you are dealing with a large, square, flat surface, for example, you will want to use corner fixings first. If you are working on larger, more rectangular shaped areas, you will want these stronger, corner fixings approximately every 8 to 10 meters.

The fixings that you use between these will depend on the kind of bird netting you buy. Larger netting obviously works for larger birds, but smaller birds can still manage to squeeze through those far-apart gaps. Smaller netting works better for smaller birds, but can trap some larger birds. You will want to make sure you're buying and installing the right one for your particular bird problem, otherwise you might find yourself with other, bigger problems on your hands.

You should then run wire through these ringed fixings, and it is this thin wire strands that you will affix your bird netting too, circular ring fastenings working the best. You're essentially tent-pegging the bird netting down, in the same way that you'd peg a tent to the ground at festivals.

In some cases, you may require the bird netting to come down over the side of a ledge of platform to protect it entirely.

Bird net installation is a job that you can do yourself, but you will need to make sure you've done your research to make sure you're covering the affected areas properly. The last thing you'll want is for half the job to be done, and for there still be a part of the ledge that certain birds can still land on.
