Connecticut is full of wildlife, including snakes, squirrels, raccoons, skunks, opossums, and more. Wildlife removal is a complex field. I recommend professional Fairfield wildlife control services if you want to solve a critter problem legally and correctly. For example, we specialize in animals in the attic, which have broken into the house and almost always have a nest of baby animals. It is necessary to perform correct preventative repairs to keep pest animals a out of your house for good. We perform full building inspection, do the the repairs and we also offer attic decontamination if necessary. Rats and mice love to live in attics, and can chew wires or leave droppings. Some Fairfield animals frequently enter homes, and correct removal is not a simple task.
DOG or CAT: If you need assistance with a domestic animal, such as a dog or a cat, you need to call your local
Fairfield County Animal Control
for assistance. They can help you out with issues such as stray dogs, stray cats, vaccinations, licenses,
pet adoption, lost pets, and more. If you have a wildlife problem, you can try calling the Fairfield County animal control, and see what they have to
say, but they will certainly not help you with a complex wildlife problem such as critters in your attic. They are a free government agency that
helps with dog and cat issues only.

Fairfield Wildlife Tip:
Traps To Catch Squirrels - If you have an infestation of squirrels in your home - usually the attic - then you probably want to know the best way to get rid of them. As with most things there are probably hundreds of solutions - and all of them better than the last. In reality the only method that really works is trapping.
If you are looking for traps to catch squirrels it is likely you will find a bewildering array to choose from - how to know which one is best? If you are looking for a humane trap - catch and release, there are plenty of those available. Basically the trap is baited with some delicious morsel (peanut butter or a chunk from a snickers bar!) and then left on the squirrel run - the squirrel goes in for the treat and the trap closes behind him leaving him trapped inside; easy to do and usually very effective fairly quickly.
The great thing about these traps is that it doesn't matter if you are squeamish - no damage to the animal occurs -plus if you inadvertently trap another animal you will be able to release it painlessly. It is possible to use something known as a 'repeater trap' - which should catch all of your squirrels in one hit, but this type of trap is usually installed by a professional.

Animal Control Struggles over Connecticut Raccoon Issue
"If the raccoons were fed is not the issue," she said. "Things like this happen all the time." For more information, call the animal services of Fairfield, Connecticut.
But The Dog Watcher said the incident for her is far from over. She never moved the raccoons, she said, but what she did do was call her attorney, who then spoke with district officials. Fairfield County animal control says it will continue to help with domestic animal issues, but not with Connecticut wildlife problems.
"After my lawyer got done with them, they said it was over," she said. "But I'm not done - I am going to file grievances so that something like this never happens again." Animal and carcass removal services in Fairfield County is dedicated to helping Connecticut and Fairfield.
To put her own mind at ease, The Dog Watcher had her own veterinarian come out Monday and check the raccoons. All got a clean bill of health, she said. To find fault with a muddy field after a week of rain is unreasonable, The Dog Watcher said. Fairfield County animal services in Fairfield, Connecticut, declined to comment on the matter.
