Florida is full of wildlife, including snakes, squirrels, raccoons, skunks, opossums, and more. Wildlife removal is a complex field. I recommend professional Clermont wildlife control services if you want to solve a critter problem legally and correctly. For example, we specialize in animals in the attic, which have broken into the house and almost always have a nest of baby animals. It is necessary to perform correct preventative repairs to keep pest animals a out of your house for good. We perform full building inspection, do the the repairs and we also offer attic decontamination if necessary. Rats and mice love to live in attics, and can chew wires or leave droppings. Some Clermont animals frequently enter homes, and correct removal is not a simple task.
DOG or CAT: If you need assistance with a domestic animal, such as a dog or a cat, you need to call your local
Lake County Animal Control

pet adoption, lost pets, and more. If you have a wildlife problem, you can try calling the Lake County animal control, and see what they have to
say, but they will certainly not help you with a complex wildlife problem such as critters in your attic. They are a free government agency that
helps with dog and cat issues only.

Clermont Wildlife Tip:
What Can Rats Climb?
Among all the animals rats are considered to be the best tuft-hunters. They can ascend a variety of objects as well as surfaces. They mostly climb surfaces such as walls, stucco, pipes, trees, telephone poles, wood siding and bricks. Their legs are very strong which help them to climb up easily. Rats can not only climb up the surfaces or walls but can also descend upside down and move all sorts of ways. Besides these, they can also hang on holding something tightly.
Rats can climb the trees and eat the eggs of the birds and can even prey on the adult birds and the nestlings. Rats are likely to climb those surfaces in which it can dig its claws into. They are not skilled at climbing the surfaces which are smooth or the interior walls of the house. They can only climb rough surfaces on which they are able to make their balance. But if there are cables and wooden structures on the interior walls of the houses rats will easily climb through them from inside. To climb up rats mostly take help of their claws to get a clamp so that it will become easier for them to climb up. Besides climbing the above said surfaces rats are not able to climb through glass and aluminium. The harder the surface the less is the possibility of the rats to climb them as they will not be able to dig their claws through them. This is the reason to why rats find it very difficult to climb up through glass sliding.
Wood rats also are known as trade rats or pack rats, they are mostly found in the United States. These rats are likely to confiscate objects which are shiny and bright. They are good climbers and can climb up through the chimneys, walls, roofs, foundations, etc. So these objects should be properly covered or packed in order to prevent the rats from entering them. Chicken wire or tin pieces should be used to seal these openings. Also the inlets like the wires and pipes entering the houses or buildings should be properly sealed.
Rats climb the exterior parts of the conduits and pipes of about 3 inches diameter; they can enter and can squeeze through small openings inside the poles or buildings. Rats can even climb up or swim through the toilets. They climb up through the pipes which are connected to the toilets. Rats are good swimmers and that is the reason to why they don't find it difficult to enter the toilets through the sewer pipes.
Thus, rats are very good climbers as well as swimmers and can enter the buildings and houses through various inlets like pipes, wires, etc.
