Kentucky is full of wildlife, including snakes, squirrels, raccoons, skunks, opossums, and more. Wildlife removal is a complex field. I recommend professional Winchester wildlife control services if you want to solve a critter problem legally and correctly. For example, we specialize in animals in the attic, which have broken into the house and almost always have a nest of baby animals. It is necessary to perform correct preventative repairs to keep pest animals a out of your house for good. We perform full building inspection, do the the repairs and we also offer attic decontamination if necessary. Rats and mice love to live in attics, and can chew wires or leave droppings. Some Winchester animals frequently enter homes, and correct removal is not a simple task.
DOG or CAT: If you need assistance with a domestic animal, such as a dog or a cat, you need to call your local
Clark County Animal Control
for assistance. They can help you out with issues such as stray dogs, stray cats, vaccinations, licenses,
pet adoption, lost pets, and more. If you have a wildlife problem, you can try calling the Clark County animal control, and see what they have to
say, but they will certainly not help you with a complex wildlife problem such as critters in your attic. They are a free government agency that
helps with dog and cat issues only.

Winchester Wildlife Tip:
What To Do About A Raccoon Under The Porch
If a raccoon is living under your porch from January to September then there is high chance that it is mother raccoons with her babies. So if you are going to do anything about it, just make sure you do not orphan the baby raccoons. As mother raccoons are really careful about the safety of their babies, they will definitely move to a new place if they feel frightened or scared. There can also be the case of mother raccoon abandoning the babies.
Be Patient with mother raccoon
The option to go for is to do nothing at all. Raccoons live underground for short amount of time. The baby raccoons become independent by the end of the summer and they soon disperse from the family groups. Most of the raccoon mothers also move their babies between different den sites during the nesting period so there is also the chance they themselves leave the porch and go away. So if you are able to wait until the babies are born or the mother raccoon leaves then you can go for closing the access points when they are gone so that no other raccoon comes and lives there.
Harassment techniques
Mother raccoons live under the porch because it is a quiet, dark and safe place for the babies as well as her. So if you make the area bright, noisy and not safe at all using sound, smell and light then you can easily convince the mother raccoon to leave your property and go somewhere else.
You can place a bright light at the porch entrance, either outside or inside. Also you have to make sure that it is fire safe as raccoons tend to be messy animals. Raccoons are basically nocturnal, so they do not like bright light at all.
You can also make the porch smelly by placing the rags soaked in Apple Cider Vinegar. This will make the whole place smelly and not suitable at all for the raccoons to live.
Another tactic to try for is using loud sounds. So you can use radio and turn it on and place it under the porch.
You have to keep doing all the above mentioned steps continuously for 3 days and 3 nights. So you have got to be persistent and this would surely bring out some results.
Paper Test
When you think that the raccoons have left the place, make sure you confirm it with paper test. So stuff the entrance with a ball of newspaper and wait for another 3 days. If the paper is still intact and nothing has been done to it, then the raccoons have finally left the place.
