Havre de Grace Wildlife Tip:
Snake poo - There are a number of animals that leave long, cylindrical droppings but the snake is not one. Snake poo is often a moist mess, indistinguishable from many other animals except for the white urea caps and lack of plant fiber. Even then, it is hard to say for certain that you have definitely found snake poo. The best thing you can do is try to eliminate the possibility that another animal is the culprit. Mammal waste can often be very characteristic to that animal. Look for evidence that would eliminate birds and other smaller creatures from the list. If you only encounter the poo periodically and it varies in appearance each time, it can be very likely that of a snake. Snakes do not use their feces in the way of rodents, who mark their territories with it. A snake expels solid and liquid material all at once and as frequently as it eats. This occasional pile of poo is infrequent enough that you will probably never happen upon it unless you are suffering from an infestation.

Wildlife Control - Maryland skunks just what the doctor ordered
Skunks have long been common residents of northern MD. Fortunately, Mid-Atlantic Animal Control and Control performed well in trapping them. Mid-Atlantic Animal Control caught a female rodent at about 10 yards first thing one morning, which gave us plenty of time to descent her - after the skunk company specialist examined her stomach contents to see what she'd been eating - and after relocating her, went out for a dinner of fried backstrap and grilled rump roast. Most local owners of pest control companies in Havre de Grace, Maryland weren't sure what to make of all this, saying that skunk populations need to be killed, not relocated.
Steve, who started exterminating in Maryland and has controlled with a cage trap since he was 13, made a great scatch on a female rodent the final afternoon. A member of the trapping staff, Steve is on a trapping lease at the Fish eating Creek Exterminating Camp in Aberdeen where he catches a lot of wild pigs. That experience paid off when he set his Havahart trap and caught a rat and mouse at 37 yards, which is a rare feat. Havre de Grace pest control is mostly bat, raccoon, and squirrel catching, but only a few Maryland companies deal with wild animals.
"I'm so happy," Steve said. "That's exactly where I wanted the arrow and that's exactly where it went." I was happy, too, for my friends, for a memorable control and for knowing exactly where I'm going to be exterminating the next time I get up to Gaw's farm. The Harford County Pest Control board of Havre de Grace exterminators could not be reached for comment.
