Maryland is full of wildlife, including snakes, squirrels, raccoons, skunks, opossums, and more. Wildlife removal is a complex field. I recommend professional Redland wildlife control services if you want to solve a critter problem legally and correctly. For example, we specialize in animals in the attic, which have broken into the house and almost always have a nest of baby animals. It is necessary to perform correct preventative repairs to keep pest animals a out of your house for good. We perform full building inspection, do the the repairs and we also offer attic decontamination if necessary. Rats and mice love to live in attics, and can chew wires or leave droppings. Some Redland animals frequently enter homes, and correct removal is not a simple task.

County Animal ServicesDOG or CAT: If you need assistance with a domestic animal, such as a dog or a cat, you need to call your local Montgomery County Animal Control for assistance. They can help you out with issues such as stray dogs, stray cats, vaccinations, licenses, pet adoption, lost pets, and more. If you have a wildlife problem, you can try calling the Montgomery County animal control, and see what they have to say, but they will certainly not help you with a complex wildlife problem such as critters in your attic. They are a free government agency that helps with dog and cat issues only.

Redland Wildlife Tip:
How to get rid of birds on patio, keep from pooping on patio
Your patio is usually an area that you will gather at and barbecue or enjoy sitting out on a swing during a cool summers evening. It is one of those romantic places where you and your significant other can enjoy a nice peaceful time together, or where you can have gatherings with friends and family.

While this may be your purpose in having a patio in the first place, it can quickly be ruined by the presence of birds around your yard. Not only do birds poop and relieve their waste on your patio area, but they will frequently congregate there as well, especially if this is an area where you are known to eat or cook food. All they are looking for our crumbs or scraps, and if they are able to find them there then you can be sure that they will continue to return. So how do you get rid of birds on the patio and stop them from pooping there?

As mentioned, the primary reason that they are coming around your patio area is for food. You need to make sure that you don't give them any food source there, so they will not come around in as large of a numbers as they may have been coming. When food is denied they will look somewhere else.

It may also make sense to do something to enclose your patio area. While you may not want to build a full structure, there are still options out there that you can purchase that enable you to be able to close off the patio area for the most part. These can be relatively inexpensive and do an amazing job at keeping the birds out.

Some of these options even come with a retractable awning or roof to them. This allows you to enjoy the sun, but when you are ready to go in for the evening you simply close off the patio area so that the birds are unable to gain access. This will keep your patio a lot cleaner, and also ensure that your bird problem becomes less of an issue.

It is also a good idea to take action in such a way that creates an inhospitable atmosphere for the birds around your patio. When you were outside, bring your dog out with you. Your dog will likely scare away these birds and keep them from returning.

If they are landing on areas around your roof, then consider putting up spike strips. These strips deny the birds ability to be able to perch on your patio, and so they will be forced to go somewhere else. This can be extremely effective in helping you to control this problem.

You have to be proactive if you are going to keep birds away from getting onto your patio area. No one wants to have any portion of their home ruined by bird poop and these are the things you can do to quickly resolve this problem.
