New York is full of wildlife, including snakes, squirrels, raccoons, skunks, opossums, and more. Wildlife removal is a complex field. I recommend professional Jamestown wildlife control services if you want to solve a critter problem legally and correctly. For example, we specialize in animals in the attic, which have broken into the house and almost always have a nest of baby animals. It is necessary to perform correct preventative repairs to keep pest animals a out of your house for good. We perform full building inspection, do the the repairs and we also offer attic decontamination if necessary. Rats and mice love to live in attics, and can chew wires or leave droppings. Some Jamestown animals frequently enter homes, and correct removal is not a simple task.

County Animal ServicesDOG or CAT: If you need assistance with a domestic animal, such as a dog or a cat, you need to call your local Chautauqua County Animal Control for assistance. They can help you out with issues such as stray dogs, stray cats, vaccinations, licenses, pet adoption, lost pets, and more. If you have a wildlife problem, you can try calling the Chautauqua County animal control, and see what they have to say, but they will certainly not help you with a complex wildlife problem such as critters in your attic. They are a free government agency that helps with dog and cat issues only.

Jamestown Wildlife Tip:
How to clean goose poop outside
If you live near bodies of water or in and around the United States, then you have most likely had a visit from some geese. Geese can be loud and make so much of a mess around your ponds and dams.

Whether you have geese that visit each year, or you have geese of your own you would have had a delightful chore of cleaning up goose poop. Here we have the best approach on how to clean goose poop outside.

Cleaning goose poo is just like cleaning any other animal's excrement, but you just need to be extra cautious of geese poo especially if they are wild geese. Most times when our dogs poop on the concrete or elsewhere around your home we remove the excrement then hose the area down. Its little different with geese poo you need to disinfect that area after you have hosed it. You will need a heavy pressure hose or pressure washer some baking soda and vinegar and rubber gloves. It's important to wear gloves when cleaning up the goose fecal matter.

Goose poop is a little easier than other poultry given it is more solid and easier to pick up.

Once you have disposed of the matter you will need to spray the area with the pressure hose to get rid of any remaining matter.

Now you can add some vinegar applying it to the area then leaving it soak for about 10 mins or longer if you can. Rinse the area once more then sprinkle the baking soda over the area this will help it to smell fresher and disinfect anything that the vinegar might have missed. If you can, let the baking soda soak for a good few hours or overnight if possible. Finally, you can rinse the area again and there should be no stains visible.

Goose poop is a public health hazard so precautions must always be taken when cleaning up.You should not let goose excrement sit there this is when it can settle and stain. Anyone who comes in contact with goose fecal matter run the risk of contracting parasites and bacteria. Symptoms of contracting an infection is diarrhea, vomiting, and abdominal pain. If you have a low immune system the bacteria can be fatal.

While you may not have come in contact with the poop but by letting it sit there your dog could bring it inside on his paw where it may then end up on someone's hands who spread it through the house via touching taps, preparing food and touching other common things like TV remotes.

For yourself and the safety of everyone else clean up the goose poop to avoid a trip to the hospital.

If there are lakes near you prone to geese avoid walking your dog there as they tend to step in things then lick or chew their paw and can contract the bacteria this way as well.

If you own geese it is best to keep them somewhere separate away from the backyard so there won't be any transfer excrement and it's easier to clean if the poo is confined to one area.
