South Carolina is full of wildlife, including snakes, squirrels, raccoons, skunks, opossums, and more. Wildlife removal is a complex field. I recommend professional Travelers Rest wildlife control services if you want to solve a critter problem legally and correctly. For example, we specialize in animals in the attic, which have broken into the house and almost always have a nest of baby animals. It is necessary to perform correct preventative repairs to keep pest animals a out of your house for good. We perform full building inspection, do the the repairs and we also offer attic decontamination if necessary. Rats and mice love to live in attics, and can chew wires or leave droppings. Some Travelers Rest animals frequently enter homes, and correct removal is not a simple task.
DOG or CAT: If you need assistance with a domestic animal, such as a dog or a cat, you need to call your local

pet adoption, lost pets, and more. If you have a wildlife problem, you can try calling the Greenville County animal control, and see what they have to
say, but they will certainly not help you with a complex wildlife problem such as critters in your attic. They are a free government agency that

Travelers Rest Wildlife Tip:
How Can You Tell If a Squirrel Is Sick?
When you think of a squirrel, you probably think of the bushy-tailed, brown little critter running around your neighborhood. The little guy jumping out of trees onto your roof, scurrying across your lawn, foraging for food preparing for winter. Not an animal you would ever really have to worry very much about.
However, that really isn't the case. Squirrels can actually be quite dangerous to you if they are sick. A scratch or a bite from a squirrel could be deadly. In addition, the waste from a squirrel also poses a risk to you, especially when they are sick. This is a time where you really need to stay away from squirrels, but if you don't know what to look for how are you to avoid them? Here are some tips that will tell you if a squirrel is sick.
It's Coming Toward Me!
If you have ever come upon a squirrel, then you know that there initial inclination is to get as far away from you as possible. These animals are terrified of people, so they will run away. However, a sick squirrel may not do that at all. If it has some form of disease that is corrupting its brain, then the squirrel may actually come at you.
It is at a time like this that you should be fearful. Because of this erratic behavior, you have no idea what the squirrel may do. It could very easily attempt to bite you or chase you down. A crazy squirrel is nothing to mess with.
It's Drunk!
Ok, so squirrels don't get drunk. However, if a squirrel's behavior is that of a drunk person, then you probably have an issue here. If a squirrel is having a difficult time climbing, staying on a wire or branch, or even moving in a straight line, there probably is some illness that is affecting its central nervous system.
This is a very dangerous animal as well. Its behavior will be less aggressive, but it will still be prone to do unusual and crazy things. Avoid this animal at all costs.
Foam, Discharge Around the Mouth or Eyes
Squirrels are the carriers of rabies. This means that they will foam at the mouth just like a dog would who had this disease. However, that is not the only reason that a squirrel could have foaming or discharge around its mouth. There are a number of diseases that will present themselves through a discharge around the mouth. All of these are dangerous to you.
Squirrels may also have a discharge around their eyes. If you see this, you need to stay away from them.
There are other things to look for as well. Vomiting or diarrhea is a symptom of some kind of illness no matter what the animal is. Look for patches of hair that are missing, excessive scratching, or difficulty breathing. All of these kinds of things tell you that a squirrel is in serious trouble health-wise. Keep away from it!
