OTHER PHOTO GALLERIES - Cute Raccoons - Cute Squirrels

The above photos are some of the many that I've taken in the field over my years of work as a wildlife rescue specialist. Please email me if you have any questions about the above photographs.

I love cute baby possums. I have taken many photos of wildlife and oppossums over the years. I often rescue them from down inside walls or homes. They often leave the mother opossum at an early age, and wander on their own and get stuck inside houses - this is particularly true if a mother opossum was living inside the attic of a home. After I rescue them, I bring them to a Orlando wildlife removal rehabilitator to take care of them.

Here's an email that I received about baby possums:
Hi my name is Shana and I was looking at your baby possom pics and was wondering how old the babies are cuz I have 1 that's about that big maybe a lil bigger. The pics are labeled 18 cute baby opossum photos and mine is just a lil bigger than the one on your shoulder. The reason I have her is because she was walking across my backyard around 11pm and I had my back porch light on and I noticed to cats were sneaking up on her and I couldn't stand the thought of them eating her. I am assuming her mother is a possum I released last year around this time, I raised her mom startn with formula I got her when I seen the neighbors cat pounce on her, I released her after 5 months of raising her and use to see her all the time but for the past few weeks I haven't. I never handled the one I released except for when she had to be fed but once she could eat on her own I never handled her again and I never allowed any other ppl or animals around her because I didn't want her to feel these things were safe. The baby I have now eats on her own and she only sees me when I feed and water her. I noticed this baby has fleas and was wondering what I can use on her to rid her of these fleas? I have an outdoor cage that's big that I put the last possum I had in to get her use to everything outside and the day I released her I just opened the cage door and for about a month after I released her I left fruits and food n her pen and left the door open and she would sleep n her lil house during the day then I slowly cut back the portions of food I left out then one day I shut the cage door and I plan on doing the same with this baby. Thank u for taking the time to read this and I hope u can answer my questions. Shana
