Canada is full of wildlife, including snakes, squirrels, raccoons, skunks, opossums, and more. Wildlife removal is a complex field. I recommend professional Barrie wildlife control services if you want to solve a critter problem legally and correctly. For example, we specialize in animals in the attic, which have broken into the house and almost always have a nest of baby animals. It is necessary to perform correct preventative repairs to keep pest animals a out of your house for good. We perform full building inspection, do the the repairs and we also offer attic decontamination if necessary. Rats and mice love to live in attics, and can chew wires or leave droppings. Some Barrie animals frequently enter homes, and correct removal is not a simple task.
DOG or CAT: If you need assistance with a domestic animal, such as a dog or a cat, you need to call your local

pet adoption, lost pets, and more. If you have a wildlife problem, you can try calling the Simcoe County animal control, and see what they have to
say, but they will certainly not help you with a complex wildlife problem such as critters in your attic. They are a free government agency that

Barrie Wildlife Tip:
How To Get Rid Of Woodpeckers On Cedar Siding
Woodpeckers are responsible for serious damage to any untreated or coated cedar siding on a house, causing a few two-inch holes being made. Woodpeckers go after wooden places to make room for mating, nesting, and hunting for insects that they seek to get out of those wooden panels. Protected under federal law, we cannot kill or try to poison them, but we can deter them in safer ways from coming over. Woodpeckers are noisy and chipping away at the wood around the house isn't pleasant. Any wooden structure, whether it's the house or planted trees in the yard, are targeted by woodpeckers. Here are way to deter woodpeckers from attacking your cedar sides.
First of all, check the siding for any infestation which attracts the woodpeckers. Get that cared for with the quick aid of putty and set up the siding before the birds come. Nailing sheets of bird wire on the whole area where there could be pecking will immediately discourage them. Rely on physical tricks because woodpeckers hate anything that moves and seems threatening. An easy trick is to have something shining or reflective, like aluminum foil or a mini mirror, hanging on the cedar siding so they stay away from it. Other objects included CDs, tins, plates, and other items with the same reflective properties. There are repellent tapes and balloons specifically made like this.
Other ideas are more physical in nature; no, shooting at them isn't it because, again, it is illegal to. Get a recording device which has scary bird calls that get woodpeckers away from the area. They make distress noise and you can buy a recording of it accompanied by the sound of an owl (which they hate) will really frighten them, especially if played heatedly at night. Have it installed along the cedar sides. Another idea is to put a fake, but realistic owl on the roof hovering the cedar siding. And owl that can produce noise is also effective in spooking woodpeckers away. One final idea that seems simple enough is to actually build a cedar siding box separate from the home for the woodpecker. Setting up a nesting box distant from the house can attract woodpeckers to stay there more.
Woodpeckers are both pretty to spot but annoying to listen too with all of that pecking to damage the cedar siding. Woodpeckers are also stubborn and only leave when forced to buy something threatening. And, again, woodpeckers are protected by law from any physical harm, so they cannot be hunted like a regular shoot. They have to be forced out through natural means and nothing that can cause harm to them or the environment. The best way to keep them from long term tapping is take action the second you hear it and identify them. With our precious cedar siding, we must protect it while also getting the birds away towards a more usable place to peck away.
