Georgia is full of wildlife, including snakes, squirrels, raccoons, skunks, opossums, and more. Wildlife removal is a complex field. I recommend professional Gainesville wildlife control services if you want to solve a critter problem legally and correctly. For example, we specialize in animals in the attic, which have broken into the house and almost always have a nest of baby animals. It is necessary to perform correct preventative repairs to keep pest animals a out of your house for good. We perform full building inspection, do the the repairs and we also offer attic decontamination if necessary. Rats and mice love to live in attics, and can chew wires or leave droppings. Some Gainesville animals frequently enter homes, and correct removal is not a simple task.

County Animal ServicesDOG or CAT: If you need assistance with a domestic animal, such as a dog or a cat, you need to call your local Hall County Animal Control for assistance. They can help you out with issues such as stray dogs, stray cats, vaccinations, licenses, pet adoption, lost pets, and more. If you have a wildlife problem, you can try calling the Hall County animal control, and see what they have to say, but they will certainly not help you with a complex wildlife problem such as critters in your attic. They are a free government agency that helps with dog and cat issues only.

Gainesville Wildlife Tip:
Raccoons in attic removal - You'll know you have a raccoon in the attic just from the sounds that rain down to your ears through the ceiling. Not only will you hear the thunder of feet trotting around the upstairs, you'll be privy to a language of chirps, growls, squeals, and grunts. If you're still not convinced it's a raccoon up there, take a gander at the droppings left behind. If they look like little dog turds with berries in them, then you've probably got a raccoon. To get the animal out of the attic, you can try the scare-trap tactic, or you can try the babies-catch-mom tactic. Most adult raccoons in a home are mothers with nursing babies or active kits. If you scare the mother out of the attic and into a trap attached to the exit opening on the building, you'll need to then go in and find all the babies. If you do this step first, you can put the kits into a large trap and then wait for the mother to find them. Because she'll want to be near her babies, she'll enter the cage trap and then be caught as well. You do have to be prepared to deal with a mother raccoon that doesn't want to leave the building. If she stays to aggressively protect her young, you'll need to snare her with a pole snare to get her into a cage.

Gainesville, GA Animal Control News Clip:
Pest Regulation - Georgia insects just what the doctor ordered

I had numerous chances, but managed to mess them up. The first morning, two young house rat and mouse walked past my treestand, stopped and looked back. It didn't register that they were probably looking at their mother. When she appeared moments later, 18 yards away, I was facing the wrong way for a shot. When I awkwardly drew back my bow, she caught the movement and bounded just out of range. The largest pest regulation company in Gainesville was interviewed, but shared nothing.

Another morning, exterminating from a ground blind, I watched two does slowly zig-zag their way through the woods to me. As they neared, I'd draw back, only to have them walk behind a tree. This is a departure from the normal no-pest policy of the area..

Amazingly, the does ended up coming within 10 feet of the rear corner of the blind. I turned to face them, drew back and raised my bow. Somehow, the string on my release slipped and the arrow zinged through the bottom of the blind and sent the startled house rat and mouse fleeing. You're doing a heck of a job, Brownie was all I could hold the opinion as I sat there, equally startled. No members of the Gainesville Pest Society could be found to issue a statement.

If someone isn't sure about how a rodent should be skinned or just don't feel up to the task, they should take the vermin to the pest controller whole. He would much rather do the capping himself than try to correct mistakes later. If a rodent skin can't be transported to the pest controller without delay, it can be frozen temporarily. The head/hide should be rolled together and sealed inside one or two large trash bags. Sometimes it's also a good idea to put it inside a cardboard box if sufficient freezer space is available.
