"A bat's bite is so small a person may not know that they have been bitten," said Laura Bat Regulation Exterminator, field supervisor of Springfield Animal Services. "The bite is about the size of a pin prick. If someone sees a bat on the ground, he should cover it with something, like a bucket, and notify Animal Services."
