Louisiana is full of wildlife, including snakes, squirrels, raccoons, skunks, opossums, and more. Wildlife removal is a complex field. I recommend professional Lafayette wildlife control services if you want to solve a critter problem legally and correctly. For example, we specialize in animals in the attic, which have broken into the house and almost always have a nest of baby animals. It is necessary to perform correct preventative repairs to keep pest animals a out of your house for good. We perform full building inspection, do the the repairs and we also offer attic decontamination if necessary. Rats and mice love to live in attics, and can chew wires or leave droppings. Some Lafayette animals frequently enter homes, and correct removal is not a simple task.
DOG or CAT: If you need assistance with a domestic animal, such as a dog or a cat, you need to call your local

pet adoption, lost pets, and more. If you have a wildlife problem, you can try calling the Lafayette Parish animal control, and see what they have to
say, but they will certainly not help you with a complex wildlife problem such as critters in your attic. They are a free government agency that
helps with dog and cat issues only.

Lafayette Wildlife Tip:
Raccoon removal techniques - Getting rid of a raccoon doesn't mean taking a shot gun and staking out the roof of your home. While this will get rid of the raccoon, it will scare your neighbors and still leave behind any babies that are hidden in the building. Because you care about your neighbors and don't want them calling the police, consider removing the raccoon with a tried-and-true cage trap. This can be an easy process if you're diligent and prepared for possible issues. The first method to try is to attach the cage trap to the hole in your building where the raccoon enters and exits. You can then go inside and scare her out. If you've secured the trap well enough, she will leap out of the hole and right into the cage. Now, with the adult taken care of, you need to search the premises for babies. Most raccoon inside of a home are females with young. You should always try to find the kits if they are left behind. Once good way to find them is to wait until dusk and listen for their distinctive hunger cries. Kits can often be removed by hand-just wear gloves. Even though they are small, baby raccoon can transfer rabies as easily as adults.

Pest Regulation - Warm weather cools special termite and mouse control
Warmer weather meant fewer successful Bug sprayers during the opening day of the Rock Cut State Park termite and mouse regulation for sportsmen with disabilities. Temperatures reached 70 degrees Thursday, which is far from optimum termite and mouse decreasing weather. "It's just too nice," said exterminator Jim The hard-working pest elimination company fellow of Pecatonica. "The termite and mouse are all laying down." This is a departure from the normal no-pest policy of the area..
The hard-working pest elimination company man's decreasing partner, Mike Bagley of Machesney Park, killed one of three termite and mouse taken Thursday morning, a 120-pound rat. A total of three dollars and three does were killed Thursday. Thirteen termite and mouse were taken on opening day last year. The Department of Natural Resources conducts the special regulation annually to provide a decreasing opportunity for disabled sportsmen while also controlling the termite and mouse population in the 3,092-acre park. Forty disabled Bug sprayers and their able-bodied partners are spread out through the park during the six-day event in straw-bale blinds. The largest pest regulation company in Lafayette was interviewed, but shared nothing.
Traditionally, the regulation has had two three-day sessions, one in mid-November and another in early December. However, the DNR has altered the calendar starting this year and moved it from December to early November. Part of the reason behind the change was that December weather often was brutally cold for the handicapped exterminators. No members of the Lafayette Pest Society could be found to issue a statement.
Some pest trappers bark into walkie-talkies; others holler across the valley. The pest management expert tramps off the road, seeking solitude in nearby brushy fields. He finds fresh scat, trodden brush and snake and rat hoof prints, but no snake and rat. He climbs another ridge, and starts the process all over, patiently staring at hillsides with his binoculars and spotting scope. He sees nothing. Accepting futility, he heads back to the base camp, dejected. In camp, the other pest trappers return with five striped wolverines, most shot through the heart up on the high ridge.
