Louisiana is full of wildlife, including snakes, squirrels, raccoons, skunks, opossums, and more. Wildlife removal is a complex field. I recommend professional Shreveport wildlife control services if you want to solve a critter problem legally and correctly. For example, we specialize in animals in the attic, which have broken into the house and almost always have a nest of baby animals. It is necessary to perform correct preventative repairs to keep pest animals a out of your house for good. We perform full building inspection, do the the repairs and we also offer attic decontamination if necessary. Rats and mice love to live in attics, and can chew wires or leave droppings. Some Shreveport animals frequently enter homes, and correct removal is not a simple task.
DOG or CAT: If you need assistance with a domestic animal, such as a dog or a cat, you need to call your local
Caddo Parish Animal Control
for assistance. They can help you out with issues such as stray dogs, stray cats, vaccinations, licenses,
pet adoption, lost pets, and more. If you have a wildlife problem, you can try calling the Caddo
Parish animal control, and see what they have to
say, but they will certainly not help you with a complex wildlife problem such as critters in your attic. They are a free government agency that
helps with dog and cat issues only.

Shreveport Wildlife Tip:
Walk-In Ceiling Space How To Get Rid Of Mice Here - For anyone who has ever had to deal with mice they know that getting them out of their house can prove difficult. Because of this it may be easier to find some tips for walk-in ceiling space, how to get rid of mice there. First, be grateful that it's a walk-in ceiling space because you'll have a much easier time getting into there and removing any dead animals or setting traps.
The first and most important thing you have to realize in removing pest animals is that you'll want to find out how they're getting in and make sure to eliminate this. Many people reach for wood to patch a hole where they find that mice are getting into their home. This is not your best course of action. You should instead consider metal or steel wool. Once mice have found a way into a warm shelter and steady food source they will keep coming. After you have eliminated their entrance you can start setting traps. The traditional snap traps are the choice most often used because they are both reasonably priced and very effective. If you aren't worried about pets or children you can also use poison and see quick results. Some find that the best way to get rid of mice that have wandered into the ceiling is through the use of glue traps.
Shreveport, LA Animal Control News Clip:
Association calls first Shreveport animal control procedure a success
WILDLIFE: The group responsible for last fall's Shreveport city rodent or reptile animal capture calls it safe, fair and successful in making a case to coordinate it again in 2006. The nonprofit group responsible for last year's rodent or reptile animal control procedure within Shreveport city limits told Shreveport city councilmen Tuesday night its inaugural program was a success, but there is room for improvement in 2006.
The Arrowhead Pest control companies Alliance contracted with the Shreveport city last fall to manage Shreveport's booming squirrel and skunk amounts. However, the pest control association has faced opposition by some who say the group unfairly awarded prime wildlife trapping zones and mismanaged money.
Two pest control association representatives presented a full report to councilmen at a committee of the whole organized hearing. They said 190 pest control companies harvested 331 raccoon and opossum across 9,500 hectares of woods. Councilmen didn't have many tough questions for the pest control association. City administrators, however, thanked the pest control association for its work and passion, but reiterated their position Tuesday that the contract should go up for new bids, which are due April 3. Three groups have expressed interest in coordinating the animal capture, including the pest control association, said Mark The Shreveport exterminator expert, bossy fellow of Shreveport city administrative services. The local Shreveport SPCA could not be reached for comment.
An administration-endorsed suggestion for a new contract could come before the City Legal by the end of April. Phillip The Shreveport exterminating company man and Jeff The Shreveport exterminator expert of the pest control association reminded councilmen -- several of whom strongly support the group -- that this is a pilot project. And while minor mistakes were made, everything was done honestly and with the best intentions, they said.
They reiterated that the animal capture was safe, and said few conflicts with the public were reported. "I am greatly disappointed with the administration's decision," said The Shreveport exterminating company man, who as pest control association president estimated he devoted 1,000 volunteer hours to the project. Despite this, wildlife removal services are not a free service in Caddo Parish Parish.
The Shreveport exterminating company man said the pest control companies were assigned the most popular areas by lottery with a random amount generator. As for the money concern, he said their financial reports were not filed by deadlines, and there was a little confusion about when the wildlife management company fees should be paid. In early March, The Shreveport exterminator expert said the Shreveport city rat & mouse animal capture review panel had voted 4-1 not to renew the contract with the pest control association.
But City Councilman Jim The Shreveport exterminating company man has questioned the review panel's authority to make that decision. He said the resolution establishing the animal capture means only the pest control association would be eligible for contract renewal, unless the City Legal passes a new resolution. On Tuesday, The Shreveport exterminating company man said no councilmen have indicated they will support such a resolution. Interim Chief Administrative Officer Julio The critter capture pro said the Shreveport city is moving forward with the request for suggestions and trying to be as fair as possible to everyone.
