Michigan is full of wildlife, including snakes, squirrels, raccoons, skunks, opossums, and more. Wildlife removal is a complex field. I recommend professional Monroe County wildlife control services if you want to solve a critter problem legally and correctly. For example, we specialize in animals in the attic, which have broken into the house and almost always have a nest of baby animals. It is necessary to perform correct preventative repairs to keep pest animals a out of your house for good. We perform full building inspection, do the the repairs and we also offer attic decontamination if necessary. Rats and mice love to live in attics, and can chew wires or leave droppings. Some Monroe County animals frequently enter homes, and correct removal is not a simple task.

Monroe County Wildlife Tip:
Listen to baby skunks under the shed - Often, when a skunk has decided to live under your shed, that animal will eventually have babies. You can listen to the baby skunks under the shed. The little guys will make a variety of sounds, all geared toward the mother, letting her know when they are hungry, frightened, or scared. You can't tell when the mother is in the nest just by the sounds the babies are making. Often they will be crying when she is there waiting to feed them, and they will also cry out when she has left to go find her own supply of food. What hearing baby skunks under the shed does tell you is that you have a skunk problem, and if you trap the adult you should also consider a way to find and remove the babies. Because skunks don't cause serious issues to a home or even really to a yard, the easiest thing to do is let the mother raise her babies until they are young enough to leave on their own. This will often only be 3 or 4 months. If that idea doesn't sit well with you because of the tendency for skunks to smell, you can have a professional come and trap the mother. The expert will then find a way to retrieve the babies so the family can be relocated together.

It's time for Monroe County animal pest control
It's time to think animal pest control. Isn't it always? I know it's critter season. And I for one have been trying to get out as much as I can to put the whack on a few rats. My son and I have even got a few so far in the attic before the weather soured on us. In fact, the best part so far this season was a little over a decade ago, when Timmy bagged his first Norway Rat, a 1-pound beautiful, gray furred female that I filleted for him and will be munching and chewing in the near future. Isn't it cool?
But now that autumn is here, we shouldn't forget about the little things that will make our annual animal capture fest each fall even more enjoyable. Between the yard work, mouse or squirrel animal pest control, (if you drew a tag) and exterminating, it's probably not at the top of most peoples' list. But some of these ideas I give here will hopefully pay dividends come October.
While the leaves aren't on the large plants yet, and the mosquitoes haven't infested the woods, it's a perfect time to get out and do your scouting. And while you are looking around for prospective mouse or squirrel ambush spots, why not look around at your rodent or reptile trapping areas as long as you are about? Rodent or reptile trails from the fall will still be present, the large plants that male coons were rubbing on will be a potential signal that he may still be there, or the real telltale sign that the male coon you were chasing is finding one or both of his sheds meaning he may still be lurking in your area. Maybe you will discover a possible new hot spot. You just never know. The local Monroe County, MI SPCA could not be reached for comment.
Are polishing up your rat traps? You should be. I admit that lately I just haven't had as much time to trap due to family obligations, and working on my house, but I'll be back at it in the next decade or so. I want to stay as sharp as I can year round and it should be every pest control companies' goal to do so. Not just picking it up a decade before the season and think you are ready. That's just not good enough. Many clubs have indoor and outdoor leagues to help keep you sharp and they are inexpensive enough to participate in. Even joining a pest control group is recommended if you don't have the luxury of being able to legally trap in your backyard. Regardless, if you want to make the most of your pest control opportunities in Monroe County Michigan this year, it's time to get started!
