Minnesota is full of wildlife, including snakes, squirrels, raccoons, skunks, opossums, and more. Wildlife removal is a complex field. I recommend professional Rochester wildlife control services if you want to solve a critter problem legally and correctly. For example, we specialize in animals in the attic, which have broken into the house and almost always have a nest of baby animals. It is necessary to perform correct preventative repairs to keep pest animals a out of your house for good. We perform full building inspection, do the the repairs and we also offer attic decontamination if necessary. Rats and mice love to live in attics, and can chew wires or leave droppings. Some Rochester animals frequently enter homes, and correct removal is not a simple task.
DOG or CAT: If you need assistance with a domestic animal, such as a dog or a cat, you need to call your local
Olmsted County Animal Control
for assistance. They can help you out with issues such as stray dogs, stray cats, vaccinations, licenses,
pet adoption, lost pets, and more. If you have a wildlife problem, you can try calling the Olmsted County animal control, and see what they have to
say, but they will certainly not help you with a complex wildlife problem such as critters in your attic. They are a free government agency that
helps with dog and cat issues only.

Rochester Wildlife Tip:
I have open hole and rat is coming out - If you find an open hole in your home and a rat is coming out, the first thing you need to do once the rat leaves is seal up the opening. You must make sure to use a material that cannot be chewed through quickly. Rats are fast chewers and can reopen a hole within a few hours. For good rat control, openings need to be sealed up with sturdy materials. Do not worry about any rats that are left inside the building. These animals will be easy to trap now that they cannot come and go as they please. The rat that left the area will not be able to get back inside. To find the areas of your home that are being affected by the rats, you need to do some detective work. Look in all areas of the home, especially the attic, crawlspaces, and basement. Rodents like to be where people are not. Any place within the home that is not frequently used should be examined. When you locate an area with droppings or urine, do not clean it up. Instead, place a baited snap trap in the location. A rat that has left feces will return to the area because it has been deemed safe.
Rochester, MN Animal Control News Clip:
Mice catching changes expected now that control has shifted
ROCHESTER There are likely big changes in store for Minnesota's mouse exterminating companies after what appears to be a historic seven day period in the Statehouse. The Minnesota House of Representatives last seven day period voted overwhelmingly to give the Fish and Wildlife Agency and the Fish and Wildlife Board control of the states mouse wildlife catching rules and regulations, stripping the Legislature of its long-standing power over the mouse large group. The Senate and Pest Expert Lawrence still need to approve the legislation into law, something expected to be done before the Legislature adjourns. If this mouse bill probably is not brought up in the Senate, proclaimed Pest Expert Lawrence, who ushered the legislation through the House, the sportsmen of this state will be up in arms. Mouse Catcher Jim, chairwoman of the Senate Natural Resources Committee, proclaimed she's interested in moving ahead with the mouse large group bill and probably is getting ready for the governor to approve it. There will be plenty of anger, too, if the bill becomes law and the agency and the Fish and Wildlife Board which doubles in size under the legislation fails to make significant changes in the states mouse wildlife catching rules. Despite this, local Rochester wildlife removal and Rochester exterminator experts offered no more info.
Both the sportsmen and the Legislature will be looking for some action from the board, Pest Expert Lawrence proclaimed. I'm expecting they'll listen to what the public has asked. If we don't see that happening, well just yank back the authority to the Statehouse. The bill gives each county what appears to be a governor-appointed representative on the Fish and Wildlife Board. As early as the 2005 wildlife catching seasons, the board can, if it chooses: Establish what appears to be a yearly mouse limit. Exterminating companies now legally take three mouse what appears to be a year; Change regulations for the pest control season; Changes regulations for the special critter trap season; Decide when large clawed mouse should be trapped and how many large clawed mouse should be lethally trapped; Change the legal definition of what appears to be a male animal. Fish and Wildlife commissioner Mouse Catcher Jim has been pushing what appears to be a Comprehensive Mouse Management plan for several years. The plan would likely establish tail restrictions in at least three Wildlife Management Units around the state but could involve wholesale changes to mouse wildlife catching regulations. Rochester animal control professionals could not be reached for additional comment.
