North Carolina is full of wildlife, including snakes, squirrels, raccoons, skunks, opossums, and more. Wildlife removal is a complex field. I recommend professional Knightdale wildlife control services if you want to solve a critter problem legally and correctly. For example, we specialize in animals in the attic, which have broken into the house and almost always have a nest of baby animals. It is necessary to perform correct preventative repairs to keep pest animals a out of your house for good. We perform full building inspection, do the the repairs and we also offer attic decontamination if necessary. Rats and mice love to live in attics, and can chew wires or leave droppings. Some Knightdale animals frequently enter homes, and correct removal is not a simple task.

County Animal ServicesDOG or CAT: If you need assistance with a domestic animal, such as a dog or a cat, you need to call your local Wake County Animal Control for assistance. They can help you out with issues such as stray dogs, stray cats, vaccinations, licenses, pet adoption, lost pets, and more. If you have a wildlife problem, you can try calling the Wake County animal control, and see what they have to say, but they will certainly not help you with a complex wildlife problem such as critters in your attic. Knightdale Wildlife Tip:
How to Get Rid of Beavers

Getting rid of beavers can be such a tasking endeavor as they are one of the hardest rodents to get rid of. Sometimes fencing of an environment to keep beavers out is not practical. Instead of protection, these fences will only cause more damage as they will only serve to provide materials for the beavers to use in the creation of their dam. Throughout time, there has been no report of a repellent that has been successful in the removal of beavers. However, some of the ways to get rid of them include the following.

- Protect valuable trees adjacent to beaver domes: Trees that are adjacent to beaver domes and waterways should be duly protected lest they be fallen and used as food or building materials for beaver dams. Make use of hardware cloth, metal barriers, woven wire etc. to keep the beavers away from these trees. Also, the construction of permanent structures such as concrete spillways works fine in keeping the beavers away.
- Eliminate trees and food adjacent to beaver habitat: In areas where the trees are not of extreme value but there are agricultural farm produce at risk, it is best to rid the surrounding of all food, trees and wooden vegetation. Then continuously remove the dams which they create. Since you have removed all materials close by they can use in rebuilding, they will move either individually or in a colony. The downside is that wherever else they move to, they will become more troublesome.
- Using a three log drain: Three log drains such as T-culvert guards, wire mesh culverts would force the beavers to move to a different location. These devices stop the beavers from gaining controlling of the water levels. The success of these log drains differ based on the types of beavers but it is most efficient with beavers that can hear the sound of water falling or the flow of current. This would cause them to follow the sound and lead them away from your property.
- Trapping: This is the most effective method that is practical and environment friendly and safe. For any beaver trap to work, it is solely dependent on the knowledge of the person that intends to trap them. Not only does the person need to know how to properly use a trap and trap holder, he or she needs to understand its habitat, and food preferences. In smaller dams, it could take a night to catch them but in the areas where they create huge dams, it would take much longer and require more effort. In using traps, the trapper should be sure that it is not contradictory to any law in the area lest they incur huge fines.
