Pennsylvania is full of wildlife, including snakes, squirrels, raccoons, skunks, opossums, and more. Wildlife removal is a complex field. I recommend professional Beaver wildlife control services if you want to solve a critter problem legally and correctly. For example, we specialize in animals in the attic, which have broken into the house and almost always have a nest of baby animals. It is necessary to perform correct preventative repairs to keep pest animals a out of your house for good. We perform full building inspection, do the the repairs and we also offer attic decontamination if necessary. Rats and mice love to live in attics, and can chew wires or leave droppings. Some Beaver animals frequently enter homes, and correct removal is not a simple task.

County Animal ServicesDOG or CAT: If you need assistance with a domestic animal, such as a dog or a cat, you need to call your local Beaver County Animal Control for assistance. They can help you out with issues such as stray dogs, stray cats, vaccinations, licenses, pet adoption, lost pets, and more. If you have a wildlife problem, you can try calling the Beaver County animal control, and see what they have to say, but they will certainly not help you with a complex wildlife problem such as critters in your attic. They are a free government agency that helps with dog and cat issues only.

Beaver Wildlife Tip:

Do bats make good pets?

The question should not be, "Do bats make good pets?" It should be, "Is it possible to have a bat as a pet, legally and logically?" Well, whatever the question, no matter how many times we attempt to rephrase it, the answer will always be No! It is possible if you write cartoons and comic strips to include a bat as a pet, but in the real world, bats would never make for a good pet, nor is it legal to have a bat for a pet, nor is it physically possible to have a bat kept as a pet.

Bat droppings known as Guano, can harm you, even kill you. These feces contain parasites that can transfer on to the human body if it comes into contact with it, burrowing there and setting up its own reproductive system. This can cause you to experience severe respiratory symptoms and death, if not diagnosed and treated in time. When the Guano dries, they become even more dangerous, carrying the Histoplasmosis fungus. When Guano dries, it becomes airborne and you can easily inhale these deadly spores that would first cause you to have flu-like symptoms and you may even be treated for Tuberculosis. Again, eventual death if this virus is not diagnosed or treated on time. In addition to these deadly diseases from the droppings, bats are constantly covering itself with its own urine. You would never be able to touch it and the smell you would get from the creature and from its droppings, can be horrendous.

Another issue why bats would never make for good pets are its sexual needs. Bats are very sexually active, even with multiple partners and with the same gender at times. This explains the large colonies they live in, even though a female bat can only have one baby at a time, sometimes twins. Ironically, they are also considered to be the lowest reproducing animals in the world since mating may actually take part in Fall, but the female bat would store the males' sperm, releasing it to meet its egg in the Spring when there are very high levels of food available. Since babies are dependent on their mothers for nurturing, females would need to have enough food to dispense to her young.

Food should also be the main reason why bats would not make for good pets. Bats feed on more than 3,000 insects per night. How would you be able to provide this for your pet bat daily? While it is appealing to have the bat destroy all the bugs and insects in your surroundings, keeping it as a pet as opposed to allowing it to live in your attic, are two very different ideologies. When you have a pet, you basically find food for it, you play with it, you keep it on a leash or in a cage so that you can talk to it or play with it. Most times you let it roam freely in your home, but you always clean up after it.
