Tennessee is full of wildlife, including snakes, squirrels, raccoons, skunks, opossums, and more. Wildlife removal is a complex field. I recommend professional Brentwood wildlife control services if you want to solve a critter problem legally and correctly. For example, we specialize in animals in the attic, which have broken into the house and almost always have a nest of baby animals. It is necessary to perform correct preventative repairs to keep pest animals a out of your house for good. We perform full building inspection, do the the repairs and we also offer attic decontamination if necessary. Rats and mice love to live in attics, and can chew wires or leave droppings. Some Brentwood animals frequently enter homes, and correct removal is not a simple task.

County Animal ServicesDOG or CAT: If you need assistance with a domestic animal, such as a dog or a cat, you need to call your local Williamson County Animal Control for assistance. They can help you out with issues such as stray dogs, stray cats, vaccinations, licenses, pet adoption, lost pets, and more. If you have a wildlife problem, you can try calling the Williamson County animal control, and see what they have to say, but they will certainly not help you with a complex wildlife problem such as critters in your attic. They are a free government agency that helps with dog and cat issues only.

Brentwood Wildlife Tip:
How to keep rats from house -You cannot hope to keep rats from your house, especially if you live in an urban area. Rats outnumber people in many parts of the world, and keeping them at bay is the best you can do. You must be prepared to have rats investigating your home. Preparation means sealing up any openings and damaged areas, and making sure openings likes vents and chimneys have the proper caps. A fortified home has nothing to worry about when it comes to rodents. Some folks will try to tell you that mothballs, peppermint oil, mint plants, dog hair, cat litter, and other predator smells will keep the rats on the outskirts of your property. This is not true. Rats do not associate immediate danger with odor. Just like a rabbit that comes across bear urine out in the woods and is wary but unafraid, a rat will look at dog fur and then disregard it without the dog in sight. Even live predators are not always enough to deter rats. There are documented cases of rats deliberately living near dogs in order to steal their food. Do not put your faith in the home remedies and commercial products that swear they will keep out rats. Sealing up your home is the only way.

Brentwood, TN Animal Control News Clip:
Davidson County Animal Services - Dog's owner thankful for help

A Brentwood family lost their pet terrier, K-C, recently and enlisted a wildlife trapper to help. The Wild Animal Expert said the owner had removed the terrier's collar before bathing him on the evening of Oct. 24. The dog then had been let out to a fenced back yard to dry before he was to receive his monthly topical application of flea and tick inhibitor.

Apparently, a back gate was inadvertently left open and K-C bounded. The family cruised the neighborhood in their car, looking for him. But it was dark, and the search was unsuccessful, so the family contacted the county animal services of Brentwood, Tennessee. Davidson County animal control says it will help with domestic animal issues, but not with Tennessee wildlife problems.

The family also called the Humane Society of the Nature Coast, the Davidson County SPCA, and Davidson County Animal Services, but to no avail. No one could find the pet. Animal and carcass removal services in Davidson County is dedicated to helping Tennessee and Brentwood, but could not locate the terrier.

But then when the story of the dog's rescue by Rosalie Bennett and Roger Catwell on U.S. 19 near Timber Pines appeared in Friday's Times, The Wild Animal Expert was quick to celebrate, as was the family: "I was just happy to get him back. He's my baby," he said of the 17-pound male brown and white terrier, adopted some seven years ago from Brentwood Animal Rescue. Davidson County animal services in Brentwood, Tennessee, was happy that everything turned out okay in the end.

Wildlife Issues - Wildlife viewing provides steady work for local TN businesses

Tourists have recently taken a shine to wildlife sighting excursions in Nashville area of TN. "The little towns nearby the wildlife, they all have their little gas stations with restaurants and such," said a local professional wildlife removal company man. "We all buy food there and fuel there, ice, and binoculars. It's pretty expensive what we do every weekend." But it's an expense they don't mind because, to many, the experience is much more valuable.

Much of the wildlife these people go to see are the same animals that end up invading the homes and suburbs of the Nashville area. Brentwood pest control is mostly insect extermination, but only a few Tennessee companies deal with wild animals. The key is that these companies use humane practices.

Many folk like to get away from those suburban areas to get back to nature: "We get out of the rhetoric of Brentwood, and get to come down here and camp out every night and cook out and roast marshmallows sometimes, if he wants to, and just spend time with no one bothering us," The professional pest removal company man said. Most local owners of pest control companies in Brentwood, Tennessee weren't sure what to make of all this.

There is another benefit to wildlife viewing, and even hunting. Tennessee has a large population of white-tailed deer, in addition to the other critters in the forest. Often times, they line the sides of Interstate 185. The hunters thin the population, making it less likely for people to hit them. The deer hunting season usually ends in January each year. Phase two, commonly known as the pre-rut seek-and-chase phase, spans from about November 4 to 11. Whitetail bucks are constantly on the move then, seeking mates, and their swollen necks are evidence of peaking testosterone levels. More and more does are coming into heat at this time, and the woods are becoming chaotic. At times like this, it's best to avoid going on a trek to see wildlife, and leave the woods to the hunters. The Davidson County Pest Control board of Brentwood wildlife control could not be reached for comment.
