Texas is full of wildlife, including snakes, squirrels, raccoons, skunks, opossums, and more. Wildlife removal is a complex field. I recommend professional Amarillo wildlife control services if you want to solve a critter problem legally and correctly. For example, we specialize in animals in the attic, which have broken into the house and almost always have a nest of baby animals. It is necessary to perform correct preventative repairs to keep pest animals a out of your house for good. We perform full building inspection, do the the repairs and we also offer attic decontamination if necessary. Rats and mice love to live in attics, and can chew wires or leave droppings. Some Amarillo animals frequently enter homes, and correct removal is not a simple task.

Amarillo Wildlife Tip:
Raccoons in crawl spaces of house - Well, the good thing about a raccoon in the crawl space of a house is that you at least have some kind of access to the litter of raccoon babies that are probably up there. Most raccoons inside of a home are mother raccoons with nursing young or active, growing kits with a mother raccoon. Either way, if you can get to the babies, you'll have an easy route of capture for the mother. You can either scare the adult raccoon out of the crawlspace and into a trap attached to the exit opening, or you can scare the adult out and see if you can locate the babies while she is away. Once you have the infants, you can place them in a large cage trap and set the entire device along the area at ground level where the mother begins her climb up to the roof. Most of the time the mother will enter the trap to investigate her babies. If neither of these methods are to your liking, you can attached the metal cage trap to the roof right outside the raccoon opening and bait it with marshmallows or bread. This method will take longer, and if you have the means to secure it to the roof, you might as well try to secure the trap directly to the hole instead.

What is the Best Bait to Trap an Armadillo: While trying to catch an armadillo, you may wonder what bait would be best to use in order to lure one into a set trap. During the quest of catching one, people tend to use different things as bait; some are more, and some are less successful in doing so. Some say that putting bait inside a trap will help you catch an armadillo, while others say that the bait will lure other unwanted animals inside a trap, therefore preventing you from catching the pest you really want to catch.
As armadillos like to eat worms, first thing that comes to your mind is using them as bait. Putting worms inside a trap sounds difficult, as worms will easily escape from the trap. Putting worms in a nylon stocking, and hanging them in a trap sounds too gross, but if you want, you could give it a try. The success is not guaranteed, and you could lure some other animal inside the trap.
Cabbage is another well-know "tested" bait that will work every time. Test this method, but even if you do manage to catch an armadillo with this kind of bait, it has more to do with luck than with the bait itself.
Rotten bananas or any other type of rotten fruit sounds, and smells not so nice. However, people use this type of bait as they have heard of it as a successful method in fighting against armadillos. Believe it or not, the smell of rotten fruits will attract insects, and animals, such as mice, raccoons, or rats inside the cage you first set up for an armadillo. If you do not want this to happen, then try to avoid using this as a bait.
Rotten meat is also said to be good at luring armadillos into the traps, but again, you can lure other animals inside the trap, unfortunately.
Armadillos are not lured by the scent of any food, as they only sniff the ground in search of ants, ad other insects. So, none of these so-called baits will not actually help you, it can only make you more harm by attracting other pests into your yard.
So, what will help you catch an armadillo if none of the baits will? The solution is simple; setting traps on the right places will solve your problem. All you need to do is place the traps along the fence, on the entrance to their burrows, and wait until it gets inside. All the advice you get about the use of the right baits are only myths, since armadillos are not lured by the smell of any of these.
