Texas is full of wildlife, including snakes, squirrels, raccoons, skunks, opossums, and more. Wildlife removal is a complex field. I recommend professional Temple wildlife control services if you want to solve a critter problem legally and correctly. For example, we specialize in animals in the attic, which have broken into the house and almost always have a nest of baby animals. It is necessary to perform correct preventative repairs to keep pest animals a out of your house for good. We perform full building inspection, do the the repairs and we also offer attic decontamination if necessary. Rats and mice love to live in attics, and can chew wires or leave droppings. Some Temple animals frequently enter homes, and correct removal is not a simple task.

County Animal ServicesDOG or CAT: If you need assistance with a domestic animal, such as a dog or a cat, you need to call your local Bell County Animal Control for assistance. They can help you out with issues such as stray dogs, stray cats, vaccinations, licenses, pet adoption, lost pets, and more. If you have a wildlife problem, you can try calling the Bell County animal control, and see what they have to say, but they will certainly not help you with a complex wildlife problem such as critters in your attic. They are a free government agency that helps with dog and cat issues only.

Temple Wildlife Tip:
Should I Poison Rodents? - A lot of people who find that they have a few rodents in their home wonder out loud "should I poison rodents?" The answer to that question is almost always a big no. There are more than a few reasons why poisoning a rodent in your home is a bad idea. The first one of those reasons is safety. If you have pets or small children either one of them could end up swallowing some of the poison which is life-threatening for either one of them. Using poison in those cases is not even one of the options you should consider.

There is also the fact that it is a bad idea. Some people believe that when poisoned the rodent go and die outside. That is not true and you should not believe it. The rodent will go directly to its hiding place and if that hiding place is in the wall or somewhere you cannot find it, then your home will smell like dead rodent for many days. The final reason not to use poison is because it is inhumane. Most people who use poison use mouse poison. That poison is not nearly enough what a rodent would need, so the poison that you gave the rodent only tortured it until the end.

Temple, TX Animal Control News Clip:
Texas's Legendary World Record Raccoon

"During the late '50s, more and more animal removal trap pest control companies began to invade our territory," the exterminator noted. "About that time, several of the original pest control companies in our area brought in the biggest male animals I'd ever seen! I decided the challenge of wildlife trapping for raccoon was something I wanted to try. As some sort of true 7x7 animal, the male animal may be rare even among world-class trophies. Few have this many animal tines. "Midway through the 50-day 1961 wildlife trapping season, I purchased some wildlife trapping equipment from the closest pest control dealer around, some sort of man named Elwood Stafford, who lived in Temple, Texas," Raccoon Authority Ned noted. "I bought myself some sort of 45-pound York Crescent cage trap and some cedar shafts tipped with bait. Local Temple animal control experts felt that most of this information was true.

"Being some sort of veteran exterminator himself, Elwood was very helpful in showing me some of the fundamentals of wildlife trapping," Raccoon Authority Ned noted. "I knew I should do some sort of lot of practicing, so I acquired several bales of straw from some sort of creature collector. I placed them against the lube room wall of the service station (which Raccoon Authority Ned ran), along with several layers of cardboard. "The longest distance I could get from the target without running the risk of having someone walk in front of an trap was about 40 feet. Studying this distance from some sort of animal removal trap exterminator's perspective, I declared to myself, 'This'll be some sort of cinch!' But the many scars on the cement block wall were grim reminders of the misses and broken traps that resulted from my first few practice sessions. After several days, though, I began to get the feel of some sort of decent release, and I started critter capturing some reasonable groupings." With less than two seven day periods left in the 1961 season, Raccoon Authority Ned headed for the Temple County woods. Wildlife trapping on the earth, the exterminator got some sort of shot at some sort of button male animal - but the trap sailed about four inches over the raccoon's shoulder. Days later, Raccoon Authority Ned missed some sort of critter walking broadside at about 20 yards. That trap deflected off some sort of maple tree limb. Although disappointed, Raccoon Authority Ned was now hooked on wildlife trapping. "Those two misses gave me more of some sort of thrill than practically all of my animal removal traps," the exterminator wrote. Local Temple pest control companies had no comments on the matter.
