Rodent Feces: Risks Of Disease? - Rodent feces in your home carry various health risks. If you find rodent feces, you should immediately take the necessary steps to remove it, disinfect and sanitize the entire area. Rodent droppings look different than mouse droppings, so you should know how to differentiate between the two to identify the exact problem. Rodent droppings are bigger than mouse droppings and are darker in color. Think of a bean to indicate size. Rodent droppings will also be found in areas in your home near the entry and exit point.

As soon as you find rodent feces, clean the area right away. Animal Control - Dangerous Dog Law Forbids Yard Chaining During Day

Orlando, Fla. -- A new law in Orange County, Fla., makes it illegal to chain dogs in yards between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m., according to a Local 6 News report. For more information, call the animal services of Orlando, Florida.

The law is in response to some vicious dog attacks, including a pit bull mauling that killed 4-year-old Myles Leakes in Central Florida. No tickets have been issued for violators of the new law but deputies want to get the message out that it will be enforced. Orange County animal control says it will continue to help with domestic animal issues, but not with Florida wildlife problems.

"We really heard the citizens say Orange County needs to do more to protect us and that is our mission, to protect the citizens and the animals of Orange County," Orange County animal services spokeswoman Vanessa Bord said. Animal and carcass removal services in Orange County is dedicated to helping Florida and Orlando.

Residents are being encouraged to bring dogs indoors or build kennels and fences rather then just chaining dogs in yards. Animal services may help people who cannot afford to build kennels with grant money, according to the report.
