This is the government animal control services operating in Nueces County and sponsored by the city of Corpus Christi. This agency typically deals with domestic animal issues involving dogs and cats. This includes things like dangerous dogs, stray cats, pet adoptions, etc. However, this agency will sometimes lend assistance with wildlife concerns. Call (361) 853-4098 and ask if they will assist with your wildlife problem. To increase the chance of success, do not lie, but if applicable, state that the problem is a public health matter in Corpus Christi, or that you feel the public safety is at risk, perhaps due to the spread of rabies or other diseases.
This is NOT a government agency. It is privately run, and operates on volunteer donations. This is a wildlife rehabber facility that deals strictly with wild animals. They may be able to help you with your wildlife problem, depending on the type of problem. The level of help might depend on their resources at the time. They will almost surely help in any case of an injured wild animal, or an orphaned baby animal, such as a baby squirrel or bird that fell out of a tree, or a baby opossum, etc. Please treat Corpus Christi Wildlife Rehabilitation kindly and donate if you are able to.
This is the statewide government wildlife agency in Texas, using your tax dollars to address wildlife issues. Sometimes called the Texas Fish & Wildlife Agency. Texas game wardens address many wildlife management matters, from hunting licenses, to poaching, endangered species, and yes, wildlife management. They deal with wild animals outside the range of a pest control company, such as cougars or bears. But they also have resources that may apply to your wildlife problem. To increase the chance of success, state that the problem is a public health matter in Texas perhaps due to the spread of rabies or other diseases.
Yes, the Corpus Christi police department will sometimes help with wildlife problems! I've seen many cases of the cops chasing down an errant bat in your house or snake in your pool! To increase the chance of success, never lie to the police dispatcher, but if applicable, state that you feel your personal safety is at risk, or the problem is a public safety matter in Corpus Christi, or a public health issue perhaps due to the spread of rabies or other diseases. Success may come down to whether or not a police officer wants to show up to this call, or is available. It's not always consistent.

Corpus Christi Wildlife Tip:
Coral snakes information - The coral snake is one of the most misunderstood of all the deadly snakes in North America. Because of how potent the venom of a coral snake, the information regarding this animal has been wildly exaggerated. There have been no reported deaths from coral snake bites since the 1960's. There is a very effective antivenin for bite victims. What most people want to know about the coral snake is how to identify it. The serpent does have a few nonvenomous cousins of similar coloration. If you are in North America, there is a helpful rhyme to keep you safe: Red on black, safe for Jack. Red on yellow, kill a fellow. You can only rely on this song if you are in North America. There are coral snakes in other parts of the world, all of them venomous, and not all of them have the same coloration. The milk snake and the scarlet king snake are two harmless species with the same bands of color as the coral snake. The best thing to remember when you see a snake with suspicious red, black, and yellow banding is to stay as far away from it as possible. There is no reason to harass a snake. Do not try to pick it up. If you let it go on its way, you will never need to know for sure if it was venomous.
