I commonly extract dead animal carcasses from homes and property. The very animals that commonly invade houses die inside houses, and when they do, they create a very unpleasant odor as the carcass decays.

It’s Barbecued Pork for Dinner Tonight - Dead animal removal is my profession and I do make a living out of it, but there are also times when I like to do some volunteer work. Unlike my usual stories of opossums, rats and squirrels, this one is about a wild boar. Of course considering its size, you cannot expect that I found it dead inside a wall or hiding somewhere in the attic. Instead this one time when I was out on the road, I discovered a dead wild boar. While I do feel sad for the poor pig, I was kind of happy inside since I got to remove a different dead animal from a site for a change.
Years of experience of sniffing out dead animals from people’s homes and other buildings has sharpened my sense of smell to an unimaginable extent. The fact that I could tell there was a dead animal somewhere in the surroundings while driving at a good speed is enough proof of that. And as I said earlier, I love what I do and so, I had to make a stop to see if my instincts were right. After sniffing around in the wilderness for a while, I finally found the dead wild boar. Since I always carry my carcass removal gear in my car trunk, I had come well prepared for the job.
From the looks of it, the boar had probably been electrocuted while either trying to trespass some property or due to lightening. It had been dead for at least a couple of days. Looking at it lying there lifeless, I actually felt kind of bad for the poor guy. The only challenge I faced in clearing out its carcass was its weight. Once I placed it in the disposal bag and sealed it, it was not much of a challenge to cover the site with debris and clean the area.
