California is full of wildlife, including snakes, squirrels, raccoons, skunks, opossums, and more. Wildlife removal is a complex field. I recommend professional Burbank wildlife control services if you want to solve a critter problem legally and correctly. For example, we specialize in animals in the attic, which have broken into the house and almost always have a nest of baby animals. It is necessary to perform correct preventative repairs to keep pest animals a out of your house for good. We perform full building inspection, do the the repairs and we also offer attic decontamination if necessary. Rats and mice love to live in attics, and can chew wires or leave droppings. Some Burbank animals frequently enter homes, and correct removal is not a simple task.
DOG or CAT: If you need assistance with a domestic animal, such as a dog or a cat, you need to call your local
Los Angeles County Animal Control
for assistance. They can help you out with issues such as stray dogs, stray cats, vaccinations, licenses,
pet adoption, lost pets, and more. If you have a wildlife problem, you can try calling the Los Angeles County animal control, and see what they have to
say, but they will certainly not help you with a complex wildlife problem such as critters in your attic. They are a free government agency that
helps with dog and cat issues only.

Burbank Wildlife Tip:
How to kill a rat that is stuck in a trap -Unfortunately, you will occasionally have to kill a rat that is stuck in a trap. How you go about this is really up to you. A pellet gun can offer enough force to do the job from a safe distance away without the dangerous power of a real gun. You can use a blunt object or a sword. What you use to dispatch the animal is pure homeowner preference. What you should do, regardless of your weapon choice, is make sure the animal's suffering is not prolonged. Aim for the head or for the heart. The rat has already suffered enough by being injured in the trap. After you have taken care of the rodent, make sure you handle the animal with gloves. Rats carry a number of diseases, and some of these illnesses can be life-threatening for humans. Do not toss the ray body out into the yard. Rats are not above cannibalism, and the smell of a dead rat will draw in live rats.

BURBANK CITY COUNCIL PEST CONTROL PREVIEW
Here are a few of the issues the council will consider Tuesday night during it's annual pest control meeting. First, the City Council will conduct a public hearing on a proposed project that would have 300 multi-family units and 1,000 square feet of retail space on 7.3 acres at Buena Vista Street and Empire Avenue. This new project could attract a lot of pest insects and wild animals to Burbank.
The city Planning Board recommended the project be approved but asked for additional information be provided to the council on impacts to traffic and the school system and the loss of industrial land, not to mention the millions of pests that will infest the area as a result. Most local owners of pest control companies in Burbank, California weren't sure what to make of all this.
The project would be located in an area with residential, commercial and industrial uses. The new pests might include spiders, cockroaches, ants, and opossums. Burbank pest control is an important part of the local economy, but only a few California companies deal with wild animals. Looks like the companies better get ready for the pests this new development will bring in!
A Pit Bull Primer for Burbank
There are two sides to the pit-bull banning debate, how do we decide which makes sense for Burbank?
On a beautiful fall evening last year, Josh Baskins and his 2-year-old Terrier, Blinky, went out for their usual walk in downtown Denver. Baskins, a 46-year-old hairdresser and artist, strolled by the century-old houses in City Park South with Blinky trotting at his heels, the dog's long curly fur bouncing in front of his brown eyes and slim black nose. Baskins turned the corner, into a part of the neighborhood that's lively and sliding toward seedy, Glendale. People were out enjoying the October sunset, sitting on stoops, leaning against walls. Suddenly the low hum of traffic and chatter was pierced by a woman's scream: "Grab your dog! Grab your dog!"
Baskins thought she must be yelling at someone back down the street, and turned in time to see a rust-and-white pit bull coming in low and fast. He reacted instantly, yanking Blinky up by his leash, the 19-pound dog dangling in mid-air by its neck. But Baskins couldn't hoist his dog high enough to escape. The pit bull jumped, its teeth snapping, as Baskins kicked at the dog's flanks. Just as Baskins pulled Blinky through the pit bull's teeth, a man came up from behind and punched Baskins, knocking him to the ground. Dazed, curled on the pavement, pushed up against a wall, Baskins held Blinky against his chest as his assailant kicked him, the pit bull circling. In a flash, the attacker pulled a knife with one hand, and used the other to pull the agitated dog into the fray. Los Angeles County animal services in Burbank, California, declined to comment on the matter.
Baskins shielded his face with his right arm, and the pit bull lunged, its teeth piercing his fingers, then his elbow, nicking the ulnar nerve and artery. Somehow, Baskins managed to tear free, surge to his feet and start running, Blinky still cradled in his left arm. He bolted into a liquor store, blood spurting from his arm, and called the police. The owner of the pitt-bull was shot and killed by an angry observer who witnessed the brutal attack. Los Angeles County animal control says it will continue to help with domestic animal issues, but not with California wildlife problems.
