Florida is full of wildlife, including snakes, squirrels, raccoons, skunks, opossums, and more. Wildlife removal is a complex field. I recommend professional Windermere, Bay Hill, and Dr Phillips wildlife control services if you want to solve a critter problem legally and correctly. For example, we specialize in animals in the attic, which have broken into the house and almost always have a nest of baby animals. It is necessary to perform correct preventative repairs to keep pest animals a out of your house for good. We perform full building inspection, do the the repairs and we also offer attic decontamination if necessary. Rats and mice love to live in attics, and can chew wires or leave droppings. Some Windermere, Bay Hill, and Dr Phillips animals frequently enter homes, and correct removal is not a simple task.
DOG or CAT: If you need assistance with a domestic animal, such as a dog or a cat, you need to call your local
Orange County Animal Control
for assistance. They can help you out with issues such as stray dogs, stray cats, vaccinations, licenses,
pet adoption, lost pets, and more. If you have a wildlife problem, you can try calling the Orange County animal control, and see what they have to
say, but they will certainly not help you with a complex wildlife problem such as critters in your attic. They are a free government agency that
helps with dog and cat issues only.

Windermere, Bay Hill, and Dr Phillips Wildlife Tip:
How to keep rodents out of my garbage
Rodents often enjoy getting in to garbage. They find tasty things to eat, and it a relatively safe way to forage for food. Unfortunately, they are not very neat about it. They will fling garbage, tear open bags, and create a great mess that often attracts bugs and other garbage eaters. Many rodents like beavers and prairie dogs are herbivores, consuming only plants, such as fruits, veggies, and grasses so really have no interest in your garbage. Other rodents such as mice and rats are opportunistic feeders who, while they prefer to eat nuts, seeds, and grasses, will eat whatever they can find if they are hungry, so your garbage is a welcome sight for them. If you have rodents in your garbage, you should take immediate measures to stop it. Not only is the mess they cause unpleasant, but they carrying pests and diseases. In addition, if rats and mice are getting in your garbage cans, it will not be long before they are moving in to your house (if they are not already there!).
To keep rodents out of your garbage take these simple precautions. Try not to put garbage out until the day of pick up. Never leave a loose bag out. Always stow your garbage in heavy cans that have good locking lids. Try to put the cans on level ground or in a can rack so they cannot be tipped over by the rodents climbing on them. You can also try using some DIY deterrents such as sprinkling a mixture of cinnamon and red pepper flakes around the can and across the lid. This is said to bother the rodent's olfactory senses (sense of smell) and make them leave. You can also make a spray from two parts vinegar, 1 part ammonia, and a good douse of red pepper. Spray this mixture on the ground, all around the can, and along the base. This mixture's advocates claim the smells will run the rodents off.
In addition to securing your garbage cans, cleanup other temptations as well. As an added precaution, you should pick up unattended pet food bowls and eliminate standing water. Keep bags of pet food, bird feed, etc. in secure containers. Use squirrel proof feeders. Keep your BBQ pit and grill clean, as well as your patio dining area. Pay attention to things that are attractive to rodents like ripe fruits or vegetables, and flowering grasses. Keep your yard free of debris and your home's exterior in good repair. This will create an environment that is unattractive to most rodents.
