Oklahoma is full of wildlife, including snakes, squirrels, raccoons, skunks, opossums, and more. Wildlife removal is a complex field. I recommend professional Owasso wildlife control services if you want to solve a critter problem legally and correctly. For example, we specialize in animals in the attic, which have broken into the house and almost always have a nest of baby animals. It is necessary to perform correct preventative repairs to keep pest animals a out of your house for good. We perform full building inspection, do the the repairs and we also offer attic decontamination if necessary. Rats and mice love to live in attics, and can chew wires or leave droppings. Some Owasso animals frequently enter homes, and correct removal is not a simple task.
DOG or CAT: If you need assistance with a domestic animal, such as a dog or a cat, you need to call your local
Rogers County Animal Control
for assistance. They can help you out with issues such as stray dogs, stray cats, vaccinations, licenses,
pet adoption, lost pets, and more. If you have a wildlife problem, you can try calling the Rogers County animal control, and see what they have to
say, but they will certainly not help you with a complex wildlife problem such as critters in your attic. They are a free government agency that
helps with dog and cat issues only.

Owasso Wildlife Tip:
How to kill a house rat -There are many people who think they know how to kill a house rat but few who really do. If you ask most non-professionals, they will tell you that you can use a snap trap, but the bait is the most important part. While bait is important, it is a very small component in a much larger process. Killing house rats starts outside. You are not going to trap or poison outside of the home; however, you do need to make sure any damaged areas of the building are repaired. New rats entering while you are trapping the original rats will just complicate things and prolong your efforts. Rest assured; if you do not close the holes in your home, your rat problem will return eventually if not immediately. When the rats are in lock down, now you can think about setting out your traps. Yes, bait is important; you do not want the rats to be able to steal the bait from the trigger plate. Peanut butter is a good choice due to its sticky nature. Traps should also be placed in calculated zones. Do not put the trap behind your couch thinking the rat will find it. Look for areas where you know the rat has been. Look for droppings, urine, grease, and fur. These are the locations where the traps should go.

Owasso wildlife management area authorities on critters plan to allow raccoon wildlife trapping
The biologically surveyed amount density at the other properties selected for wildlife trapping ranged from 19 to 61 raccoon per square mile. The properties are in several Owasso communities, including Tulsa and Broken Arrow natural conservation areas. The close-clustered animals are devouring wildflowers and vegetation in the wildlife management area, eliminating habitats needed by songbirds and insects, Squirrel Snarer Philip declared. The district has been monitoring and studying the situation for years, the exterminator declared. "This may be about maintaining some sort of balance," declared Squirrel Snarer Philip, who noted that other wildlife management area systems and communities have begun harvesting raccoon large groups in recent years. Raccoon Handler Michael, 64, of Owasso applauded the district's plan and declared raccoon have become some sort of local nuisance and some sort of danger to motorists. the exterminator declared wildlife management arealand "should not be permitted to become some sort of refuge for the excessive amount of animals present." Wildlife management area Commissioner Raccoon Handler Michael declared the board would act on the suggestion after all details are ironed out. Only Owasso residents would be eligible to animal capture the selected land. "We are going to proceed," Raccoon Handler Michael declared. "We have to." Local Owasso pest control companies had no comments on the matter.
Recent Animal Control Email: Dear Sir: I am concerned about the bears that have been released in Rogers County. Several weeks ago, I saw what I thought to be a bear in our neighborhood. Now I have heard that there are bears attacking horses accross the road from us. I have two Middle School grandchildren who have to walk out to catch the bus along with about 14 other children who live in the neighborhood. I also, have five other grandchildren who are six and under, that likes to play in the yard. I am concerned for the safety of all these children. What are the plans to move these bears to a better location? Hope you understand my concerns for the welfare of the people living in this community. Thank you, Molinda
David, Found your sight on the internet. We live in Tulsa OK. Caught a possum last night in our attic. Caught him in a critter cage. We have also located and plugged the entry into our home. If possible, I'd appreciate your insight. How far from our home do you recommend releasing him? Is 5 miles far enough? Do possums live in packs? We caught one. What our the odds of capturing another? Truly appreciate your help! Tom
