South Carolina is full of wildlife, including snakes, squirrels, raccoons, skunks, opossums, and more. Wildlife removal is a complex field. I recommend professional Mauldin wildlife control services if you want to solve a critter problem legally and correctly. For example, we specialize in animals in the attic, which have broken into the house and almost always have a nest of baby animals. It is necessary to perform correct preventative repairs to keep pest animals a out of your house for good. We perform full building inspection, do the the repairs and we also offer attic decontamination if necessary. Rats and mice love to live in attics, and can chew wires or leave droppings. Some Mauldin animals frequently enter homes, and correct removal is not a simple task.

Mauldin Wildlife Tip:
How Does a One-Way Funnel Get a Squirrel Out of a Building?
One of the best methods to get a squirrel out of your home or business is the use of a one-way exclusion funnel. These are incredibly effective devices, that are successful in their purpose. Maybe you have never heard of this device before, so a little explanation will help you to understand how successful it is.
Why You Would Use It?
There are instances where a person has found a squirrel, raccoon, bird, or other animal inside their home or business. Squirrels are one of the main problem animals. Because of how small they are, all it is a minor crack, loose board, or gap in the outside of your building to allow the animal to get in.
Clearly, you want the squirrel out of your residence or business, but handling it directly is not a safe option at all. These animals will bite or scratch, and could seriously injure you. Plus, they are the carriers of a number of diseases. A scratch or bite could become deadly in a matter of days.
The one-way exclusion funnel removes this concern. It is a great device that allows the animal's natural instincts to do all the work for you.
So, How Does It Work?
The one-way exclusion funnel is an ingenious contraption. You would begin by doing a thorough search around the outside of your building. What you are looking for are cracks, holes, gaps, loose boards, or other problem areas that a squirrel could use to get inside your building. Keep in mind that a squirrel doesn't need much room. That gap could be as small as a quarter of an inch and a squirrel could still get in.
Once you find it, you attach the one-way exclusion funnel to the outside over the top of the entryway the squirrel is using. What happens is that it's some point the squirrel will go out to find food or water. When it does, it goes out through the one-way station funnel. The funnel allows the squirrel to get outside, but not get back in.
Once you are sure that the animal is outside, you simply take down the one-way exclusion funnel, then fix the entryway was using. To be on the safe side, mix some steel wool with the caulk you used to seal the boards together. This will keep the squirrel from digging or biting its way back inside.
Believe it or not, that is really all there is to it. In a few minutes you can have the funnel attached to the outside of your home or office. Within a day or two the animal will be outside and your problem is resolved for good.
What so many people like about this option is that there is no direct contact you have with the squirrel. You simply let the funnel do all the work. Unfortunately, it doesn't clean up the mess the squirrel left behind. You will have to do that yourself or hire someone to do it.
