Customer Raccoon Email: Hi, My son has a problem w/4 racoons, mom and 4 babies. They get on their deck and tear up their stuff and try to get inside to get to their cats. During the simmer she got to the doves tat nested in their gazebo. Now
she bought her 3 babies along. How much do you charge to get them trapped and removed to relocate? He is in Center City NJ. We live in a neighborhood with lots of children, and have noticed a juvenile raccoon hanging around our houses a lot. Can you
tell me the price to relocate him? He's starting to become a little less scared of us and I'm afraid of the kids coming into contact with him. Thank you! Jessica

Customer Raccoon Email: Hi, I have something making noises in my chimney, I suspect maybe a racoon litter or something such as that. Someone who lived here before me took the cover off the chimney and I haven't gotten
around to putting it back on yet. Now first I want to get what's in there out,
preferably without hurting it. Can you give me a call and we can maybe set up a time? Also, we have a raccoon who frequents our hummingbird feeders
if we don't take them in before dark. This morning, my husband saw the raccoon climb a tree in our front yard where, indeed, there is a large nest. Is it likely there is a mother raccoon with babies in there? Neither of us realized
they create "nests" for their young in trees. Thanks, Pat
My Answer: Raccoons do often nest in trees. But they sure do like chimneys, which are even better than trees!

The raccoon (Procyon lotor), is a common urban animal, and native to North America. Raccoons are easy to recognize, with a black mask and ringed tail, as seen in the above photo.
Raccoons tend to weigh between 10-20 pounds as adults, and live an average of 5 years. They are mostly nocturnal, and are omnivores, and will often eat pet food or garbage. They have
become very acclimated to living in cities and urban areas. They are very strong, excellent climbers, very intelligent, and they are very skilled with their hands, which causes them to
commonly break into homes and attics, where they cause considerable damage, and they also destroy other property, and thus raccoons
