If you have a mole in your yard then you probably want to do everything you can to get rid of it as quickly as possible. A mole can be a very destructive little creature in your yard, and so giving it an eviction is the most sensible thing that you could do.

However, not everyone is looking for a permanent solution that results in the termination of this creature. While you may not want a mole on your property, that doesn't mean that you want to be inhumane about it. You simply wanted to go! If this is your problem, then here is how to get rid of moles in your yard without killing them.

Castor Oil - you may have hated this as a kid when your mom or dad forced you to swallow down a gulp of this pungent tasting oil, but you will love it as a solution to getting moles out of your yard. The mole finds this to be an absolutely horrific smell to it, and does not like the composition or texture to it either. This means that it will do all that it can to avoid the oil.

By taking your garden spray bottle and adding a couple of tablespoons of this to some hot water, then spraying it around your yard, you can quickly resolve your problem by making sure that the mole remains underground. Eventually, the rodent will have to find a means to get back to the surface and as long as you have a nice layer of the castor oil on your lawn and other property area, it will not find your property to be a suitable solution. Thus, it will attempt to leave.

Dish Soap - while the castor oil will work, some are looking for a method that will speed up the process. This can be accomplished by adding dish soap to the castor oil and water mixture.

How this works is that when sprayed in your yard, the dish soap allows the mixture to seep into the soil. By using just castor oil the layer will remain on the surface, meaning the mole can survive underground. However, by using dish soap the mixture will seep into the soil, eventually getting into the tunnels where the mole is living and will force it to flee.

Because it cannot return to the surface in your yard, it's only real option is to continually dig and tell it is off of your property. If you use this treatment once a week you will find that in no time at all your mole is gone.

Best of all, using either one of the solutions does not cause any issue with your vegetation. You will not endanger your lawn, trees, garden, or bushes by adding castor oil or dish soap into the soil.

It is great that you want to do the humane thing and allow these creatures to live, now you can do it while still keeping them off your property. For more information, you may want to click on one of these guides that I wrote:
