While birds can be found just about every place, that does not mean that you want to see them gathered in large groups. Frequently, birds will find something about a person's property that makes it appealing enough that large groups will gather. Whether it is because there are an abundance of seeds or worms that are found on the ground, or some other factor that is out there, you can quickly find hundreds of birds gathering around your house.

While you may really think that birds are spectacular, the health issues that arise from this many birds being present are enormous. Birds release a lot of waste, which often contains pathogens and parasites that can be a concern for you, your family, and your pets. All you have to do is come in contact with that waste material in some way, and you can have a parasite burrowing into your skin and taking up residence in your intestine belongs. This is enough reason in and of itself to make sure that you were getting rid of these animals as quickly as possible.

Getting a large group of birds to go away is not easy, however. It can be a very serious challenge and is why many are turning to such things as Bird fogging to assist them in getting rid of the birds. If you are unfamiliar with the term then here is what Bird fogging is about.

For those, Bird fogging is the solution for them. Inside a canister that you open and release the fog from is a repellent that scares off the birds for a certain period of time. As long as the fog has not completely dissipated around your property than it will keep the birds from returning. They find the repellent quite irritating and want to get out of it, much in the same way that police may release pepper spray grenades into a crowd to try to get them to disperse. This is the same principle behind bird fogging.

While the chemical repellent is irritating to the birds, it does not have any harmful effects to these creatures or to you, as a matter of fact. This makes it a safe alternative to get the animals to go away.

However, you should be aware that this is only a temporary solution. While it may get your large flock to leave, if they still see your property as a means to get food or shelter then they will return. What this means is that after you have scare it away these creatures you need to take whatever steps are necessary to deter them from wanting to come back. If you do not do so then your bird problem will quickly reinvigorate itself and you will be forced to try to find some other measure to get them to go away.

It is recommended that you use bird fogging to get these critters to leave, but also keep in mind that you need to prepare to take additional action once they are gone.

Often marketed as 'humane bird dispersal,' bird fogging is a process that can eradicate birds from a large, well-ventilated space. It is designed to be entirely safe, not also to the birds themselves, but also to the local wildlife and agriculture. With a central ingredient (usually) of Methyl Anthranilate, also known simply as MA, it is GRAS, which means Generally Recognized as Safe, determined by the Food Chemical Codes.

With the right fogging liquid, and the right bird fogging equipment, the haze is designed to encourage the bird to go away. With results similar to us eating a very hot chili pepper, the bird soon starts to associate that particular place with a very unpleasant sensation, and it won't be long before they refuse to come back. This is good for you — the home or land owner — as it often works as a long-time and rather effective way of getting rid of birds.

It has been reported that birds breathe faster during flight, and by as much as thirty times faster, and it is this fact that makes bird fogging so effective. When the mixture is in the air, the birds fly through it and experience those negative, 'hot chili pepper' sensations. Birds tend to fly around more in the morning and in the evening, right when the sun comes up and down, and this is because of the abundance of insects around at that time. This is the best time to use your bird fogging machines, affecting the largest mass of birds at once.

Bird fogging is often used by city and county services, and has been shown to be rather effective in vineyards and orchards, city parks, gardens and golf courses, plant nurseries and greenhouses, large flat roofs, loading docks, parking garages and more.
