I commonly extract dead animal carcasses from homes and property. The very animals that commonly invade houses die inside houses, and when they do, they create a very unpleasant odor as the carcass decays. The successful removal of deceased wildlife definitely requires experience and knowledge of building architecture and animal behavior. I've cut and pried open every nook and cranny imaginable to locate and remove rotting critter bodies. I am the best - I always find the animal, deodorize and decontaminate the area, and seal up the hole I've cut open. If you want to learn more, please read my How To Get Rid of Dead Animals page.

Dead Pigeons in the School - Until now, all the stories that I have told you have been about the animals I caught. But the one that I am going to tell you now is about a bunch of dead pigeons which I had the honor of cleaning out from a school building. See kids, this is what you call dedication to education. Jokes apart, one thing that most people do not know is that having dead birds around can be really hazardous for health. In fact, there are a number of bacterial, fungal, viral, protozoal and rickettsial viruses that humans can contract from dead birds. This is the reason why it is not only important to get rid of any dead birds in your surroundings but also to make sure that the area is properly disinfected.

Since this job involved a school, it was especially important to be cautious with kids of all ages around. I was called after the school’s maintenance noticed a bad smell coming from the school’s ceiling. After I reached, I quickly found that the cause of the stench was a family of dead pigeons. These pigeons could have died of several causes, among which the most likely was that they probably caught some disease that killed them all. With their droppings and dead matter spread all over the ceiling, it was important to clean out the area as soon as possible.

To my surprise, however, the school authorities only asked me to clean the area off the carcasses but not disinfect it. Even though I tried my best to convince them that it was a matter of ensuring health safety for the kids, I was told in return that the school did not have sufficient funds to afford it. Now, that is really stupid. I came back deeply disappointed and hope to this day that no kid fell sick because of the school management’s stupidity.
