Tennessee is full of wildlife, including snakes, squirrels, raccoons, skunks, opossums, and more. Wildlife removal is a complex field. I recommend professional Nashville wildlife control services if you want to solve a critter problem legally and correctly. For example, we specialize in animals in the attic, which have broken into the house and almost always have a nest of baby animals. It is necessary to perform correct preventative repairs to keep pest animals a out of your house for good. We perform full building inspection, do the the repairs and we also offer attic decontamination if necessary. Rats and mice love to live in attics, and can chew wires or leave droppings. In fact Nashville wildlife frequently enter homes, and correct removal is not a simple task.

Nashville Wildlife Tip:
What to use to keep racoons from riping off your house vents -Unfortunately, sometimes you have to be a little creative to keep racoons from ripping off the vents on your home. Most of the time, these animals are easily discouraged with some touch metal and a few screws. If you are having problems with a racoon continually opening up your house, it may be because the adult is a mother and her babies are inside your attic! This is why you can't just close up the hole a raccoon is using when you see it leave. Most of the time, the adult in a house is a female hiding her babies from predatory males. If you close her out, she will work her hardest to find a way back inside. The only way to handle a racoon infestation is to have the animal trapped and removed. Most states require this to be done by a person with a special license. The expert will come in, set up some cage traps, and locate the litter of babies. Sometimes, the tiny racoons can be removed by hand and then placed in the cage trap to lure in the mother. If the mother sticks around to defend her kits, she will need to be snared with a pole snare and guided into the cage.

Pest Control in TN - Rat and mouse exterminating in the suburbs

The city of Nashville has made a push toward increased efforts in rodent extermination within the city limist. So far, an average of 15 rat and mouse have been harvested by licensed exterminators inside the city's limits per week. Although it is a start toward reducing the overpopulation of these rodents, officials say it is not going to be enough to make a significant difference. Most local owners of pest control companies in Nashville, Tennessee weren't sure what to make of all this.

"Every time a female rodent is taken it means there will be up to sixty fewer rat and mouse born in the city limits next year," said Nashville Safety Service Director, who happens to be a termite company specialist. "A month into this we've taken an average of 15 per man. If we can continue at that pace and take an average of 45 to 50 rat and mouse we might begin to see a difference." Nashville pest control is mostly insect extermination, but only a few Tennessee companies deal with wild animals.

The problem is that, currently, only 22 exterminators are licensed to control in the city. Each exterminator is allowed to take as many rat and mouse as possible, but the likelihood of the exterminators getting all of the rats is slim. To legally operate a pest control company in the city, exterminators are required to pass a PCO test and possess $100,000 worth of liability insurance, which is covered by most homeowner policies. In addition, exterminators are required to adhere to a strict set of rules outlined by the city to ensure the pest control is safe, as well as all regular laws that govern rat and mouse exterminating as set forth by the state. The Davidson County Pest Control board of Nashville exterminators could not be reached for comment.
