Vulture removal is difficult. The two primary means of vulture control are deterrent methods or harassment methods. Deterrents can include shock tracks or needle strips. Harassment can include pyrotechnics or lasers. The most significant problem that vultures can cause is the befoulment of an area with their droppings. Vulture droppings are not nice and pleasant like the droppings of other birds. Vulture droppings are the worst kind of bird droppings.

Here is a group of vultures. Many people associate vultures with death and dead things because vultures feed on dead things. This group of vultures was hanging around a dead tortoise, hoping to snack on it.

This greedy vulture had this opossum carcass all to itself. It would not share with the other vultures, who were forced to fly around and around above, never getting a chance to land and have a bite to eat. I tried to make this vulture leave so that the others could come down, but I couldn't do it.

Directly below this lamp post was a road-killed animal. The vulture landed on the lamp post because it provided a good vantage point and easy access to the food below.

Like most birds, vultures are protected by the federal migratory bird protection act. As with any nuisance bird, you can eliminate roosting areas, but you can't hurt the bird itself. You can't just shoot the vultures. If you want to get rid of them, you can spray them with water or shoot firecrackers at them every day, and maybe they'll decide to roost elsewhere.

Is Trap And Remove vultures: A Good Working Solution?
If you are not very fond of the idea of trying to prevent vultures from landing on your property by spreading poison or repellants on your very own land, you may want to consider trapping and removing vultures as a possible solution. Trapping is considered a safe and harmless method to catch the vultures and then release them in an area away from your home. However, you should know that this may not be such a great solution, especially if you have to deal with a large number of birds.

If you trap and remove vultures, you will have to do the same operation over and over again. It will not be enough to set just one trap and then release the vultures some place far away from your property. The vultures may nest in the vicinity, or in your neighbor?s homes, which means that other birds will soon be attracted to your property, despite your efforts. While this may solve your problem for a short period of time, it will not do you much good on the long run. Actually, you will end up spending quite a lot of time struggling to catch the birds, while being overwhelmed by their numbers. In addition, vultures return to the same nesting place over and over again from miles away, so releasing them doesn?t guarantee they won?t return. The best method is making their roosting places inhabitable through shock tracks, needle strips or netting.
