FL State licensed and insured - permit# N5499 - residential/commercial - operating 24 / 7 We believe we have a raccoon (maybe with kits) in our attic. She's driving us NUTS at night if it is a raccoon. But we don't know if we can afford to have her, or whatever animal it is, removed. We are looking for Altamonte Springs animal control or Altamonte Springs Wildlife Removal to help us. Can you advise me of what your fees may be? Thanks so much! I have two small children and a wildlife expert just came today about what I thought was a rat problem. He showed me where a raccoon has been getting in my attic. We just signed a lease for 12 months and have only been here a month. The expert said if it was his house he would move out. He didn't look in attic yet- just went off the evidence on outside (soffit pulled off by varmint and opening). What would u say? Dear David, Last week we walked into our pool enclosure and found a racoon eating the dry cat food. The problem is that he ripped the screen room in order to swim in the pool then eat the food. We trapped the coon then released him in the woods far away in a safe place. Replaced the screen then thought we were ok. This morning we found another coon had torn the screen (in the exact place as before) and entered our lanai for a swim and a snack. The food has been taken up every night so they are not tempted. Here is the problem, we have (2) 4 year old cats that live on the lanai and are declawed. From what I have read these coons can drown a cat very easily and that they carry many different diseases and that scares us. The trap is set for tonight and we hope to catch this 2nd coon. Do you think the first coon left his scent on the screen room? Do you have a suggestion as what to use as a deterrent for any other critters without harming our cats? We are very concerned and look forward to you response. Thank you, Lori |
