FL State licensed and insured - permit# N5499 - residential/commercial - operating 24 / 7 I just left you a message regarding an animal that has been trapped in a closet located in the back of our garage..the door must have been closed on it day before yesterday and we heard the strange bark "like" distress noises yesterday morning but I couldn't figure out where it was coming from until my mom opened the closet door last night to find a stack of flattened banker boxes shredded. But nothing came running out. I'm not sure if whatever it is has died (because no more noises) We all stood there for a while and have seen nothing run out, I don't know if it's so scared to move, has died or possibly ran out during the night (as we left it open) But I'm not about to look in there to find out!! My mom is older and lives over the garage and I have 2 small children and would so greatly appreciate your help!!! Thank you, Hollie Just wanted to thank you for your website! I had sent a note to the website with photos of some excrement we had found on our pond and got your autoreply containing this address. Then, a few minutes ago, as we were finishing our dinner, my husband noticed a 'big squirrel' on the birdfeeder.... upon closer look, it turned out to be a raccoon! In the 32 years of living here (on wooded property) we have never seen a raccoon 'in the flesh.' We are looking for Windermere animal control or Windermere Wildlife Removal to help us. Thanks to your website, we contacted AAAnimal Control in our area and they are coming out tomorrow. Guess that answers the question about the excrement in the pond waterfall area! While we don't mind relocating the groundhogs who venture onto the property and deal with the deer, chipmunks, squirrels, black snakes and a sometimes-fox, I must say I am a bit leery of having a raccoon roaming around. (My friend's Aunt and Uncle were attacked last month by a raccoon while walking around the property in their retirement village and with a family party coming up in a few weeks, I'd rather not have to worry about this brazen one!) Thanks for your posts alerting us about the health issues of the excrement of a raccoon and for helping us find someone in the area to assist in this particular wildlife escapade! Sincerely, Jackie |
